Looks like Depends were available in the UK briefly in the very early 90s...

I didn't consciously think I remembered these at all but seeing this ad has bought back a LOT of memories! Will have to search and see if I can find pics of the nappies themselves.

Some interesting quotes there... “The fact that everyone is born incontinent is probably one of the main reasons for shame and embarrassment over incontinence later in life” - well, true to an extent, but everyone’s also born bald, toothless and unable to walk, and they’re not seen as generating the same level of stigma in older age as wearing nappies as an adult.

It’s interesting that they sold Depend products including the full nappies on pharmacy shelves in the late 80s/early 90s. I never saw them, obviously didn’t sell well enough. Though I remember seeing Boots Staydry adult nappies on the shelves from my early teens onwards, which was early 90s.

Gosh the Pampers ones sure look familiar to me! Having lived through half of the nineties, it must've have struck some kind of sub-conscious chord. That baby looking sideways on the Pampers box is even more familiar to me: for years, we had an old pampers wet wipes box which we used to store small medical things in (plasters etc).
