Interesting that the Peaudouce are called baby slips when our nappies are often referred to as slips. E.g. Tena slip, Molicare slip maxi, ID slip.

Because they’re for when your bladder has a little slip-up ;)

The word “slip” has been adopted to mean underwear (typically brief-style) in a lot of European languages. Presumably that’s how “incontinence slip” became a euphemism for an adult nappy.
