That's just the pink vs blue gender stereotyping. It has nothing to do with the construction of the diaper. (like some baby diapers where they have slightly thicker padding "in the middle for girls, up front for boys") It's a gimmick anyway, there's very little difference between a guy pointed down and a girl, as far as the entrypoint of liquids is concerned.

But just as some will prefer a diaper with a more "babyish" appearance rather than a "medical" look, some will prefer pink or blue. Currently all we have for pink really is DC Amore's regular and kitten for pink, or Tykables overnights for blue. There are quite a few baby and kid themes to choose from too, which is really not too far off track.

I'll give the neon blue's a try when t're available.

Thanks for replying, I could have sworn I heard that the Amor's had specialist female inner-padding! Ah well if it's just a colour thing. Thanks again for replying. bringmesunshine p.s oh and Aww So Cute do a pink teddies as well!

I really like the new DC Amore Kitten diapers - the whole shell is light pink, and there's a hard front tape panel covered with cute kittens playing. The inner liner is unique as far as I've seen, it's an extremely soft material, it's got the texture of a cotton ball, and instantly absorbs even when dry. But the layout of the padding and core is identical to any of the comficare based diapers.

Even though pink isn't my thing, I still really like them for their features and performance. Initialy I was thinking that a pink diaper would be a turn-off for me, I found the anime artwork in the original DCA's was the bigger turnoff than the pink shell. And the kittens are ok. So Kittens get two thumbs up from me. Although I think at this point, gender/age looks are very low on my diaper checkist. Blue? BABY? pacifiers? Pink? whatever... is it comfortable, fit well, priced reasonably, and good capacity?

SOrry I know I've asked this somewhere else but I can't find it with this slow connection. The last status update I see over on diaperconn is from Nov 17 that the diapers have cleared customs. Is there another update? I was at the store this morning and all the options (med/lg and all counts) still showed out of stock. When do they arrive? (given past issues in related venus I can understand not wanting to take preorders, and I agree with that decision, just let me know when they're in the gate!)

The Amor has the same padding, but the Idyl has some added absorbency in the frontal area. That's really the only difference as far as that's concerned.

True, a super soft topsheet is a high priority  .. the Idyl will have the same soft topsheet. The fast wicking comes from the use of a premium SAP from Japan. This SAP adds a bit to the overall price, but for how quickly it wicks compared to the basic SAP most merchants use, it's well worth it!

The Idyl has cleared customs and should be released from the port within 48 hours. There was a mix-up by DHL when they delivered the BL (document you need to release the container), and so there was a delay from that. Luckily it will still be released before the port starts charging brutal late fees! I'm hoping to have these available by this weekend, if not next weekend for sure. Another update will be posted when the container leaves the port.

Nice, nice, and niiice! Thanks for the updates!

How many did you import? One container? more? We've seen imports of new models before but rarely do we hear what sort of scale this is done at. I've always assumed these occur one container at a time. That's quite a lot still I suppose, but you have to ramp up at some point...

Also fyi: your website says: "Availability: This product is no longer in stock with these options but is available with others", as though it's possible to order them but I'm not selecting the right options.

My pleasure! This time was one 40' container since this was a new product - about 39,000 diapers. It's the stash to end all stashes  I'm sure others import multiple containers at a time, so hundreds of thousands of diapers would be the scale there...

All Idyl size and quantities are currently "out of stock", but they won't be for long

That's what... a bit north of 800 cases. Yeah, that would be "diapered for life" for most people I think. I'll be waiting for the buttons to turn on, hopefully this weekend.

(actually.... assuming you could get by on only 4 per day, that'd only last 25 years!)

Can't WAIT to try these! They look awesome! Thanks for supporting the community with new diapers, Jeremy! I assume you offer discreet shipping?

Thanks! I'm glad you like em! Yes, all shipping comes in unmarked packaging - no DC company name or anything of that sort. Just my personal name.

Yep, almost 10 tons of diapery bliss to unload. Challenge accepted

lol "So how long will you be in these diapers for?"

"25 to life..."

They look like there good diapers same as the DC Amor's I might buy a few cases and try them out.
They look like there the same padding and fit.

Jeremyi I just want to recommend your product I might go for 20 or more cases of the new diaper's, I was so happy with the DC Amor's I ordered 42 cases all ready this year,
I just want Moo to know that I am not a vender and a user of your products these are great and really bring me a lot of comfort thanks for the best diapers I've ever worn.

Jeremy: Will these be scented, and are the Amors scented?

Gotta agree with what others said, blue isnt the best colour for diapers, white with a land zone is perfect for me

maybe importing some plastic comficare would be a cheap option to offer then?

Thanks! So encouraging to hear your support! If you really liked the Amors' quality, no doubt you'll be satisfied with the Idyl's performance

I offer scent only on samples of the Amors currently - the Idyl samples will have that option too. There's the possibility of adding scent at the manufacturing stage in the future to full packs/cases, but that will require an expanded inventory, and my operation isn't quite at that magnitude yet :)

Noted. One concept I was considering - would be a single shade of light pastel blue in the middle region - then a deeper powder blue on the wing region - on the other side of the cloud column. That or the gradient effect just with lighter blues. What do you guys think?

I'm actually planning on ordering me a case. I love the amors so so so much, and I really do think these will look cute under certain things like my Frozen skirt ^-^.

Have you tried these before I think there great and vary stylish.

I'm sorry but that blue is just awful. It's hideous. I would actually be interested if it was a nice soft shade like the DC AMORS are. Would you perhaps consider toning down the blue a few shades? It's just such a bizarre shade for an AB/Little/DL diaper.

In all honesty, even I was a little shocked by how deep blue these came out. I had entrusted the print factory with getting the prints perfect this time since they did so well with the Amor, but in all future editions of diapers I'll be working very closely with them to ensure the prints stay true to the original design. The blue will certainly lighten up in the future

That said, these diapers are fantastic. Certainly the best I've made so far as far as functionality. I'm considering holding a sale on these ones... :)

I think this should answer your question

Thanks! Yes I've tested them out myself. They fit and feel great, and last a very long time, more than 24 hours with the durability 'test' I did. The blue does grow on you after a short time. But I'm sure others will post reviews once these release.

Btw, guys - the Idyls were picked up from the port today. They will be delivered to me next Thursday, the 10th, and should be available for sale shortly after, as early as Friday the next day.

Agreed! :D

Hey Jeremy. I noticed that with the Amor you get a discount by the quantity you buy (diapers cost less per unit if bought in a case or 2 pack quantity) Would you consider doing a combination case or 2 pack quantity? (1 pack amor, 1 pack idyl) Some kind of couples case.

That would be awesome :D

Omg, this is exactly what I wanted to do! I even thought of calling it the couple's case  You must be some type of wizard...
