The "Found AB Diapers At A Thrift Store" Club

After seeing crazy thrift finds from other people, I finally had my own, at Value Village just outside Washington DC.


This was a pack of 8, but I couldn't wait to put one on, so there are 7 in the picture.

I usually wear XL, but for that price, I couldn't pass them up. They were a bit tight and I put on plastic pants and raised my standing desk (so I could work without sitting down and squeezing them too much) as extra insurance. I filled them pretty full - wet and messy - and they probably could have lasted longer except that I need to go out soon, so I had to change.

To (at least most) Value Village staff they probably look like a weird off brand.

Pretty sweet find! Though I find it odd the tag says "Housewares Small Electrical", someone there been mislabeling stuff

Never found any AB diapers, but a good number of times I've found some decent diapers.
Scored 8 pristine packs of Abena M3 pull-ups at my local Savers sometime last year.

(Savers is known as Value Village in the Pacific Northwest, the Baltimore metropolitan area, and most of Canada, and Village des Valeurs in Quebec. Chicago stores and some locations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area are under the name Unique. SOURCE: Wikipedia)

I thought that was weird too.
Also weird is that one of the Value Village locations near me has a Unique Thrift in the same building - I always wondered why. You can see that the price tags are the same, the checkouts are the same, and the loyalty program is the same.

Almost every time I go, I see some kind of medical diaper, usually an institutional brand.
