The Day I Came Out + New Days

This blog is going to be about the day I came out to two close friends of mine of me being a DL. I'll just call them friend 1, and friend 2 for easiness. It all started about talks with going to a car event where the drive is a 6+ hour drive, for two days in May. We decided it was best to get a hotel, and just stay in a hotel for 4 days and spend the whole weekend there. In the past few months, I have had a couple of accidents at night, so I end up wearing all the time at night, and most of the time during the day, if I wake up dry, I won't stay drive very long . With us sharing a hotel room I figured it would be hard to hide my supplies. So, me and Friend 1 were hanging out one day, and we were talking about some of our secrets. Thats when I told Friend 1 that I am a DL, Friend 1 took it really good, and understood everything, and didn't laugh or make fun of me. I was a little more worried about Friend 2. The only reason is because of his ADHD, and just how are friendship is, we make jokes towards each other. Friend 1 ended up helping me tell Friend 2. At the end Friend 2 didn't make fun or me or make jokes about me or say anything hurtful. Friend 1, and Friend 2 have been my friends for about 5-7 years. To tell you the truth it kind of felt good to tell someone because now I have someone to confide in. I have ready a lot of horror stories about people telling friends, and such. I kind of already knew these friends would understand.

That took guts, so pleased it went well, it’s the hardest thing to bring yourself to tell someone. I have some glad I have some good friends. It took me a while to build up the guts for it.
