Tena M vs R

I was thinking of buying a bunch of Tena's, but normally the medium is a little small even though I'm in the middle of the hip range (40"). Does anybody think the Rs would fit better or are they much much larger?

I usually buy medium in tena ultra slip since my hip size is now 38in, but the regulars are much larger. Which type of tenas are u planning to buy?
