Stocking up and filling up your closet

With the summer approaching, I've been diaper shopping (disposables). Over the first quarter of 2023, a lot of my favourite products are out of stock in medium, or in some cases like the NS Supreme Lite, disappearing altogether. So when my substitute for outdoor products like the Tranquility SlimLine briefs become available for example, I have been buying extras ASAP to prepare for the coming months. The problem with this is having to keep a larger stock in the closet.

Anyone else working thru supply chain issues?

Never did have any chain supply as of yet ! I do keep around 4 bags or so of diapers on hand .

I actually try to get down with my stocks, i "use out" several types i don't want to use any more, i will not buy them again - "simplify your diaper."

Next month i will restock with the types i like to use, but as far as i can tell, this will be no problem.

That's what I normally do. But with summer coming, my protection requires that I use better products when away from home, especially with the threat of diarrhea. When I'm out for 3-4 hours, or longer, I need a good plastic backed diaper.

A lot of my suppliers where I get breaks on shipping, are often out of medium size when I need to order. So during certain windows of time when they do become available, I have to jump on it and order them. Otherwise, I'd wait. And to get breaks on shipping, I have to order extra.

That is a great idea as what you are seeing has the potential of becoming very serious! Any ripple in container ship activities in the South China Sea and availability will become very limited or at least spotty.

I have been very lucky as my U-IC has been very stable and that helps. That said, I have also increased my on-hand volume and also incorporated cloth diapers, which is much easier to do with U-IC.

I get 14 packs of tena maxi active fit delivered every 3 months from the NHS and then i uaually buy 10 packs of attends boosters, along with some larger boosters and 6 packs of tena ultima active fit at the same time. My girlfriend is always buying more rears or her favourite is the pink northshores. (I think we must have about 9 packs of those in the cupboard, lol ) so yeah, we have a massive haul of nappies in our house. Lol.
