What signs do you notice when it’s time for a diaper change? If my diaper gets heavy, I ended up waddling more than walking. Also it begins to itch(this only happens if I don’t drink enough water)

I think you've basically answered the question already. It's not hard to determine when you need to change. Since I went 24/7 for #1 use 3 years back, I've got really good judging my diaper's condition by just wearing it. I think it helps to find a brand of diaper that works for you and wear it all the time, because then it kind of becomes a part of your body and your diaper sort of communicates with your brain in sutle ways like the dampness of the top sheet, the saggyness, and the weight of it. Once you know how your brand performs, you can get very good at telling when you're about to leak. That's where I'm at with northshore supremes, I know the limits of them very well!

Depending on the brand, usually when I feel the wetness wicking towards the rear of my diaper is a good indicator.

As a life long IC I've gotten quite into a regular routine for changing. Lots of times I don't feel an accident untill my other skin gets warm. Little bursts I don't feel at all. I check my wetness stripes

Generally I change after 2 wettings every 4-5 hrs

I normally change on a clock schedule regardless of amount used. Now there are times I change outside of this schedule. Like getting sweaty, a #2 accident, or bath time. changing normally three times a day, morning, noon, and before bed.

I love the warm, wet feeling of a soggy diaper, so the only indicator I go by is leaking. :giggle:

I think I've developed a sixth sense for when my diapers need to be changed. For the most part we have fixed schedule. I only wear cloth diapers so I have a tendency to check the top of the back of my diaper and if it's wet, I know the rest of my diaper is also wet and I probably should avoid going potty again until I'm changed.

I've always been very pro wetness indicator, and since I'm almost always in just a diaper and t-shirt when I regress, my favorite part is that everybody knows. There's something very satisfying about being unable to hide that I'm wet.

Mommy (my wife) has highly developed maternal instincts that have come to define our marriage. She nurtures me in many ways. If we are together and I am wearing pants, Mommy will ask "Did you tinkle" and then check me for wetness by gently squeezing the front of my diaper between my legs. If we are home, I wear a t shirt and a diaper which sags of course when I'm wet.
In any case Mommy will change me into a fresh diaper as soon as it is convenient.

If it feels uncomfortable, change it.

I don't change until my diaper's wet close to the rear waistband :) cool breezes around the legs after sitting down let's me know it's pressing out and up!

I know it is time for a change when my diaper feels heavy and begins to sag. Some times, I wait too long and it starts to leak. Then, it is for sure time for a change Some times, I ignore that and just enjoy watching, and feeling, my pants get wetter and wetter. The sight and feel of wet pants turns me on big time.to say nothing of lying in bed in a puddle of piss on my rubber sheet.

If it starts to feel cold and it’s already wet I have to change it otherwise I seem to get the sniffles.
Preferably before the diaper starts to fall apart or leak (disposables).
Basically if it’s for some reason uncomfortable.

It's so wonderful when our Mommy/wife gently checks our diapers and changes us when we need it.

I know right away when I'm having an accident (both, at least when awake). Sometimes I don't know how wet I might be. It's hard to just check myself (like when I'm teaching). That's why I change before class. All on schedule. Very few leaks.

I notice my diaper starts to grow heavy, maybe I’ll feel it become wetter around me, and I start to waddle. That’s when I think of a change. Sometimes I’ll wear it until I leak though!

When I start to feel my pee puddle around my crotch and feeling it on my skin is when I know it’s time to change or not to sit down or risk pressing it out all over my pants.
