I think its boring after 1998. They don't really have any good meaning anymore, which is odd since South Park has more meaning in its episodes then The Simpsons do now. Family Guy is way better then The Simpsons and makes just as much points in social commentary if not more so, of course South park has more then both now..

Very funny show!
Going back even further, The Dick Van Dyke Show had some very funny stuff as well. More recent than that, but still old was The Bob Newhart Show, although one must brace for the very 70s styles.

My favorites include The Beverley Hillbillies, The Andy Griffith show, Adam-12, Emergency, Gomer Pyle, Green Acres and ALF. I guess that I am really showing my age now. But these are some of the shows that I grew up with and love.:smile:

My favorites are mostly some of the older ones. I still watch I Love Lucy re-runs whenever they are on. I'll be watching it today, TV Land is running a mini-marathon starting in about an hour. Also, All in the family, even with all of the serious social issues it touched on, I think its funny. Honestly, I prefer many of the older sitcoms rather than the new ones and it's funny, many of my favorite TV series were produced before I was even born.

Yeah I think this is pretty ridiculous, myself. But anyway... older shows that are still funny? Hmm. I watch Nick at Nite almost every night. So I can list a LOT of old shows that are still funny.
Cheers, All in The Family, The Cosby Show, The Fresh Prince, etc. Those shows never fail to crack me up. There are many other ones that I can't remember right now.

I don't think you're proving a point at all. None of your threads like this have been remarkably popular from what I've seen... so I think you're just making yourself look silly... because posting 4 different threads about TV shows that are good, bad, or somewhere in between is definitely not a way to get a subforum made.

Maybe instead of annoying the crap out of everyone you could instead bring your idea to the attention of Peachy or Moo, the two people currently running this site. Because spamming the forum usualy doesn't get people much of anything.
Besides, the very fact that you created all these threads in order to make it seem that there were lots of television threads prooves that we do not need a television subforum. No one else was discussing television untill you came along and spammed it up.
