Bwhahahaha.

By the way, using someone else's commissioned artwork as an avatar isn't cool.

An Administrative Stuff thread gets comments from anyone who cares to leave them since they affect the site. If you want something private, send a PM or make a thread in Requests.

Compulsory "donations "would not help anyone. Volunteering donations however. Very different story.
That is the simplest reason for why this would be a terrible idea.

A little donation wouldn't hurt anybody, actually you are helping to pay the site hosting and other stuff. and in my case I did it once as a gratitude for all the very useful information available to help improve our lifestyles and so. but, about your question, I say NO.

In general requiring a pay scheme is a very bad model for a site like this. It's far better to encourage people who enjoy the site, utilize the site, and feel like they can support the site to donate than it is to come around like a tax collector. We want to be there when people need help and when people are exploring this side of them. Having to pay money will turn people off to that idea in a heartbeat while associating financial information on a site like this may also be a turn off.
