It would be a good idea to see a doctor.

Yeah, I did that saturday night. I ruined the mattress, it soaked through to the other side. (one sided mattress). We had to replace it, but it was about time anyway. I don't know what to think about it. I haven't done that since I was teen. However, I am usually in a wet diaper going to bed so I am not sure if I have been doing it without knowing. It's kind of a game changer...

If you do not have a history of bedwetting, beyond 5-6 years old, then you should see your doctor. Even if you have a history, you should talk to your doctor about it. It may be genetic (one or both parents were bedwetters), but if it's not, then there is likely an underlying health condition that is causing it. So, get ahead of the curve and see a doctor before the possible underlying situation becomes serious.

Get a plastic mattress cover (really inexpensive ones are now common as a means to protect against bedbugs) to protect the mattress.

Clearly as so well stated above, see a doctor for all the reasons covered above.
Although, spontaneous bed wetting can occur, it is commonly tied to extensive alcohol use and/or extensive intake of liquid prior to bedtime, mixed with deep sleep. If you have been sleeping in a pre-wetted diaper it 'could' alert the mind that wetting is okay. However this tends to be rare.

For the isolated times that I wet the bed as a child, I know that I was in a deep sleep when I woke up in the act. So sleeping very well might be related to the cause, as well as needing badly to go at the same time.

I used to be able to pee in a dream without real world consequences. But peeing in the dream is for real these days..

My bedwetting stopped pretty much in my mid 20s and I had no actual accidents for about 20 years. And then one morning in my mid 40s after being at a friends birthday party the night before I woke up soaked. I was surprised and thought it was just from drinking too much. And then over the next few weeks I had 3 more accidents. I starting taking more precautions and and keeping the mattress covered and then eventually wearing protection. Its difficult to talk to doctors about it. Now I have a condition and take meds where it's sometimes more common.

Did you wet the bed into your teens when you were younger? Maybe there's a connection between late bedwetting and it starting up again later in life?

If you like your mattress do this. It does not need be this brand although I have about20 of this brand. I bought them at my online insurance pharmacy But I have purchase catheters and other urological products from them and never had a issue.

You should see a Doctor. Especially if it has became a on going issue. Lots of things can cause it. Go go get it done!!!. ;

Definitely see a doctor. My wife began experiencing this and occasional daytime wetting a few years ago and the doctor determined that it was caused by the hormone changes during menopause, exacerbated by bearing children. Her sisters also experience this so it might be hereditary too.

Incontinence is not a disease it is only a symptom of another issue. That issue could be small and simple like a infection or it could be from a cancer or neurological disorder. Either way it is your body telling you... Lets get it checked out!

You really should take all the free advice coming from the group and tell your doctor. For this to become a new problem for someone your age it is certainly your body telling you something. You are the same age as my daughter so it is hard for me not to care. Everyone in this group cares especially when posted as a medical issue in the incontinence section. You could respond to us, as you created the post.

So i got a update. I went to the doctor and had 2 urine samples ran and 8 blood vials ran and they can't find anything out of the normal other than some high calcium levels in my blood. So even my doc dosnt have an idea.

Was it your family doctor or a urologist? It makes a huge difference as a Urologist only treats the urinary system! A urologist will do a hell of a lot more advanced testing.

As I was going to sleep tonight I was remembering what it was like before I became incontinent. In some ways being ic, and wearing diapers for it, has been an improvement over that time. I was at the point back then where as I was trying to drift off to sleep I would get that signal from my bladder that I had to make a trip to the restroom or I wasn’t going to get to sleep. This was getting to be a quite common occurrence at night so wearing diapers really is almost less of an inconvenience than prior to becoming ic. Now I don’t get those “oh no” moments when you know you have to get up or you’re not going to get to sleep.

I did a sleep study a few weeks back. They had me and this older man, we was in in two different rooms with a shared restroom in between our rooms. I bet I heard that old dude got up and use the toilet 5 or 6 times in a 7 hour study. I worn a Mega Max bed and the entire time, I was just thankful that I was not him with my middle aged prostrate.:LOL: I realized being in a diaper all the time is not always a bad thing.

Just a doc, however doc did mention a ui-sope. Not too excited about that but it will be good to find out what's going on.

oh well I am sure he will most likely send you to a urologist for that. 90% of the time you will be sedated especially if you have not had it done before. It is not that bad
