is the plastic on the dry 24/7 more vinyl feeling vs other diapers?

Rearz Safari uses Polyethelene, which is as close to polyethylene vinyl acetate of the reusable waterproof pants as you can get.
The reason they haven't used Polyethelene in diapers for 20 years is that it doesn't decompose quickly when introduced to ultra-violet light, and therefor doesn't degrade in managed landfills. It's also super expensive.

If you want the tactile feel of the reusable vinyl pants, buy Rearz.

The plastic on them is pretty average, but a bit thicker than normal. The good part of that is it won't tear if you like to wear your diapers snug.

I would recommend trying a sample pack of them if you're looking for a totally plain white diaper with all the features (except a wetness indicator). Do be aware they run a bit larger in sizing though, so it fits some people (like me) better than others.
