Yes one in back. Hard to see. Yes definitely room for improvement. But fun to do. Also higher rise in front and back. Fits my long body betterBelarin said:Nice, a good starter, how many layers?
I would make one suggestion that you don't need so many snaps on the wings (4 at most, I tend to go with 3 in an L shape with 2 at front and another behind on the top) the snaps on the front are for size adjustments you don't need to clip all 8 on each wing in place this will leave a higher chance of wicking leaks (more holes/weak points) and is unnecassary.
Also from the looks of the pictures i can't quite tell but it looks like you have elastic in the legs but have you put any in the back? a strip on the back waist will help with a snug fit around the body.
Been sewing long or just starting? I took it up properly about a year ago definitely having fun with it!Vtfastback13 said:Yes one in back. Hard to see. Yes definitely room for improvement. But fun to do. Also higher rise in front and back. Fits my long body better
One. Of my first major jobs was a sewing machine mechanic. I worked on commercial machines. The company I worked for made ski jackets. I was a displaced work due to overseas cheap labor. So I learnt how to sew on commercial machines.Belarin said:Been sewing long or just starting? I took it up properly about a year ago definitely having fun with it!
There will always be room for improvement, even when you think you've got it just right you'll learn something new or simply look at it one day and say "i can do that better if..."
I picked up a Serger at Christmas to play with and my goodness does it make a difference, big learning curve though.
I would love to have Pfaff, one of the best. I have been sewing for 30+ years. I got a medium/heavy duty commercial that I love to sew on. It's to heavy to do clothing stuff on. Did use it to build a 16' X 26' canvas tent for doing historical shows. I have a light weight commercial Singer that I have never got to run right. It would be great for doing clothing and such.Vtfastback13 said:One. Of my first major jobs was a sewing machine mechanic. I worked on commercial machines. The company I worked for made ski jackets. I bought a Pfaff sewing machine because I know the quality in them. I was taught no pins. Just notches on side to guide you.
These machines are slow compared to the ones I used
Using them today. I can see what adjustments to make. All this work then piss on them lol 😆😆😆Rita said:I have to say the color and pattern are very nice !!!
