I never had an avatar, and don't plan on getting one, I have one at the corvette site but that is about it.

Avatars are useful to other people. They help others recognise who it is that is talking. I'd seriously recommend getting one. It doesn't have to be big. But it does help.

In fact something I have considered doing is a 150x150 square of the same colour as the bit behind the avatar. So you have a big gap there like there was an avatar, but no one can see it.

Actually - I might go and do that.

If you don't have an avatar, I'll have trouble identifying you from all the people who don't post/visit here often enough to get an avatar. I'm a visual person :p
