I have actually had a Buick LeSabre for a while. But, given the cars age and gas mileage I don't want to hang onto it much longer. Its a wonderful car, and still runs great. But, it's a major gas hog, heavy, and well... hasn't been inspected or moved for a year and a half. As a teenager to get this vehicle mobile it will cost a lot of money and as a foresight; not good.
So today I went car shopping and look what I found.

Its a 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage. Nice tiny gas effective engine, 165k miles. GREAT for a car its age, and its a Mitsu 1.5 Liter 4 cylinder engine. so its life expectancy is phenomenal. Not mentioning the price on it... But, that paint job knocks about 8k off XD

btw... 37mpg City 48mpg hwy

I know... its a Love hate thing with the paint job. I was looking for a Mitsubishi in my price range.. simply because I love them.. then I found this. I was like .... *must have*
I am going to take a look at it tomorrow morning. If it checks out, I'm going to get a down payment placed on it.

Car would be okay, but kids are going to harrass the hell out of you at school for that paint job. Oh, and you will get a much better deal if you buy from a person instead of from a dealer.

Its AS-IS. So... its not really a dealer I'm buying from

But John, if I get this will ya come over to my place and help me hook up the electronics?
The thing as beautiful as it is needs more Sound... and a lil underglow.. (which is to be used at shows only!)

Truthfully I've never seen a car with that crazy as a paint job so I say, GO FOR IT!!!!!

That thing is so cool, and it doesn't have too much mileage on it -,-....

Anyways, I wouldn't be brave enough to get sometin like that XD, but it's so awesome.

If only the shark had a laser beam on its head, then you can Pew Pew while going down the highway at 48mpg. Go for it.

OK. I'm going to be honest. The car is great. It looks like it is in great condition, and the gas milage alone is worth it. But, the paint job is hideous. I've never seen anything that ugly in my life.

I dunno...I rather like the paint job...definitely stands out in a crowd! :-D

Once you get your sound system installed you can play the theme from JAWS at full volume whilst rolling down the highway. hehehe

Okay, so it wasn't all that original...but it'd be cooler than playing "Under the Sea" hehehe

Well, it is conformed I am buying the car on Monday. It will need a new engine soon but that's not a big deal on this car, and the transmission shifts a little too hard may be do to the engine.
But, it rides great... AC works wonderfully, comfy, stops on the head of a pin... handles... just as good, if not better then my Buick. There was a phone number for the previous owner who was an artist on the side. We called her, she said it was to advertise her airbrush tattoo parlor. She asked how the hell it got to Pennsylvania from Baltimore Maryland. She said her dealer was going to scrap it. She was happy to hear that the car is still... very much alive.

Some other small... things it needs/will get

The paint needs touched up,
Sound System overhaul,
New wheels to match the paint,
Horntones X-550 which will play the Jaws theme at the press of a button.
Underglow for my local weekly car shows,
Shark Seat Covers,
and a Car Alarm. (That plays the Spongebob Theme)

Drew if it's just the hood that is painted like that you can always just paint the hood, and most of those guys who do those paint jobs like that don't clear coat them, if that is the case the shark may rub off, with some polishing compond.

You could always just black out the hood, or get another hood and replace it, they are those pull your own part junkyards up here, and a hood for that would be around 20 bucks, it would be cheaper to get another hood than remove the painting.

I would think twice if your going to have to put an engine in something, you may be better off just buying something different, I don't know how much money you have to operate with, but I'm sure you could find a better ride.

I could always find you something up here if your interested.

Oh no, its a full airbrushing the entire car is a sea setting. I do love the paint job on it. The airbrusher might be coming up to fix it, and take her number off. I plan to set up a Triangle ad service for a local aquarium and fish store. Ask them to pay my gas bill for the ad space. I bunch of people have already taken in a interest on making this vehicle even better. The only thing that I don't like on it is its a DSM engine.

How do you fix a DSM engine?
Get a new one!
A new engine for this vehicle runs about $400-600 and weighs less then 250 pounds. Not an issue really. Its not an American beast.

Well good luck with it then, if I can help you with anything you let me know.

That advertiseing gig sounds good, at least if you get someone to sponser the gas or something, the car should help pay for itself, or at least help with the gas.

I looked at the pics, it isn't that bad looking, a freind of mine had his whole van done, advertiseing his head shop, it helped at truck-in's we went to we sold alot of head gear, with people just comming over to see the truck.

You can ask a sea food place to take some space also.
