Ever since I can remember discovering the wonders of masturbation, I've stuck to wetting/diaper content for about 95% of the time. The trouble (?) with this is that when I do switch to regular porn it takes a lot longer to climax, and I've also had experiences during sex where the same is true. It's as though my brain takes a lot more convincing when the content isn't omo related.

My concern is that I don't want to find myself in a situation during sex where I am taking an unusually long time to come, or as has happened once, not be able to come at all. So I wondered what other peoples' experiences with this are and if anyone had any advice? Is it just a case of mixing up the content a bit more?

It happens, sometimes it takes the moe powerful stimulus to bring about the orgasm.

I'm in the same camp. Actually, I can't quite remember a time before using diaper play as my stimulus. While it may be easier said than done, a bit of abstinence should make you more sensitive all-around. I'm also hoping it makes night wetting easier, as I keep waking up with both a bursting bladder and an erection.

In psychology, ABDL is mostly comprised of two different non-standard sexual behaviors. The first is paraphilic infantilism; this is typically described by people as being a little or an adult baby. This is where people want to regress back into a state of childhood.
The other behavior is diaper fetishism. This is where people have a sexual fixation on diapers. This is probably the group you fall into. Diaper fetishism usually results in an individual viewing diapers as a sexual object and getting sexually aroused by diapers.
Being a diaper fetishist isn’t a problem normally; however, you’ve also mentioned troubles achieving orgasm without diapers. This is not uncommon in people with fetishes. What defines the fetishized object is that it brings sexual arousal and/or aids in sexual gratification. That being said this could be evidence that your fetish is reaching the level of a disorder, defined as causing an individual significant psychosocial stress or having a detrimental effect on one’s life. If it’s starting to seriously bother you are causing you other problems, if you feel like it’s causing you problems then you should go see a psychologist.

That being said, I’m not trying to diagnose you as having a mental disorder. How you are is how you are unless it is causing serious problems in your life. I’m mostly just trying to inform you about why you find it easier to reach climax and get aroused by diapers. We don’t really know that much on nonstandard sexual behaviors, so why you are the way you are is pretty much a complete mystery. Hope this helped clear somethings up.

I was watching an episode last night from the TV show, American Horror Story: Asylum in which they were using a brutal aversion therapy on a woman who was in the mental asylum because she was a lesbian. So yeah, you could try aversion therapy. Every time you would be shown a picture of a diaper, an IV trip would take place causing you to become violently ill and throw up. To think they actually did that at one time...ugh.

I think CaterpillarSick is right in that you may have to take a break from diapers. One can try to re-acclimate their mind while having sex, deliberately thinking about something else that also gets them off.

Ahh, I wouldn’t recommend aversion therapy. It’s horrible and shown to not be very effective. Also I wasn’t really recommending anything, just giving a statement of facts. It sounds like OP can still engage in standard sex; it’s just more difficult to reach gratification.

I of course was joking about "aversion therapy". It's horrible and terribly outdated. Only a psychopath would want to do that to another human being.

Okay, I couldn’t tell if you were serious or not.

I've been watching the second season of the TV show, "American Horror Story" and a so called psychiatrist did that to a lesbian inmate in an insane asylum. It was cringe worthy to be sure. My mom had sent me to a residential mental facility my senior year in college for the same. I only had two sessions when I was finally able to talk her out of sending me, reminding her how expensive it was. Money always wins.
