This could go into diaper talk, but I feel like this suggestion is more of a babyish behavior.

I have started to realize that if I'm too tense to use my diaper, I can actually just put my finger(s) in my mouth and lightly bite on them. Some reason it seems to do the trick, not totally positive why. Has anybody else noticed that this helps?

I've never tried this personally (though I might now), but my niece who's actually 15 months old does this all the time when she's nervous, so you seem to be coming from solid ground here.

It's not a thing for me. Running water is about the only obvious one I can think of. However, it may reveal a new layer of meaning to the following exchange:

Romeo and Juliet said:
ABRAHAM

Do you bite your thumb at us, sir?

SAMPSON

I do bite my thumb, sir.

ABRAHAM

Do you bite your thumb at us, sir?

SAMPSON

[Aside to GREGORY] Is the law of our side, if I say
ay?

GREGORY

No.

SAMPSON

No, sir, I do not bite my thumb at you, sir, but I
bite my thumb, sir.
