Here's my life hack:
Makeshift Onesie-Take a T-shirt that is two or three sizes too big for you, and safety pin it tightly at the crotch to have a onesie that will keep your diaper secure.

Use one of these tools to easily create a large amount of pinholes in a diaper so you can layer a second one on top of it and make layering diapers actually useful.

Having a tough time with cheap cloth backed disposable diapers holding snug? Use cable management velcro to keep your diaper on better. It covers a longer area of the diaper, and it is double sided, one side with velcro and the other with a soft fabric, which doesn't rub against the leg.
This model has worked well for me, there are cheaper ones, http://www.amazon.com/Velcro-Style-...1451684034&sr=1-25&keywords=velcro+cable+ties
