The demo for preordered people comes out on the 6th. Anyone else preorder and wanna play together? Or wanna play when actual game comes out?

If ya have steam, add me anyway even if ya wont play L4D.

I preordered. Hopefully the demo is long enough to be worth the download time.

I did not pre-order it due to lack of money plus I am going to buy Fallout 3 first. I will play the demo when its out for the masses however and see what its like.

Demo was fantastic apart from the massive graphical problems. Went public today for those that don't know for some reason. Try it you will probably like it. Gonna have a great November 18th with friends. Gonna play all day non stop... if they fixed the graphics glitches.

There are no graphic glitches... at least not on my demo there isn't nor on any of my friends/clan's. Anyways I been playing it a lot though it is only two small levels.

There's huge differences between RE:O and L4D. RE:O plays more like a traditional survival horror game, while L4D (at least from what I can tell from the demo) involves getting from point A to B as quickly as you can, mowing down (or avoiding) all the zombies that try to attack you. There's also the small matter of only one of the two games still having functioning servers.

EDIT: Someone's already made a motivator out of it. :D

Happening to a lot of people. It's the source engine corrupting lightmaps. Only fix as of yet is to minimize completely then maximize. Its such a pain in rear.

Sickness that's odd considering this is the first time I heard about it and I been on Gamefaqs L4D board a lot now.

The game randomly freezes on me and the sound starts skipping... :(

I've been on GF for a while in general now! >_<

Hardly go there any more though, it's just full of shitty Nintendo fanboys and trolls.

Just played it. Fast, dark and fun, but somehow it wont convince me to spend 40€ or something like that. (plus I have to get an import version since german is cut)
Its just too... shallow. TF2 is always the same as well, but I fight enemies, not generated hordes of zombies. Four storylines with 4 levels each or something would be worth 20, maybe 30 euros to me. Its not that the game isnt good, its just that I'd expect more of a real singleplayer expierience from a coop game.

I don't go on the console boards anymore the PC boards are perfectly fine however. There's the occasional Mac's Vs PC's but really its a gaming website and Mac's don't do the boring business PC games like Fallout 3 and Mass Effect.

Also Sickness on GameFAQ's all the video games have their own boards just like steam. The Left 4 Dead PC board is pretty active on it and I haven't seen one person complain there. I am not denying that problems have been happening for some people but it seams that for most people its okay. I been screwed by Steam as well sometimes but that was due to dial-up speeds and what not.The steam updater would never get past like 32% or something. It stopped after I downloaded the needed files from my school's high speed access.

Well I got L4D for my brithday present. On Steam of course since I don't have a 360 as well as the fact I like mod's and updates.

PC version is phenomenal. I recommend it to all zombie game lovers out there. This takes the cake. PC version recommended over 360 because the 4 campaigns are actually not super long. The average CS:S player can beat this in about 4-6hours. The multiplayer versus is cool too. But my recommendation for PC because the PC version is bound to have many extra campaigns after valve releases the new SDK.

I did find quite a few dumb mistakes in their level design as well as model skins. They did a really bad job on the level borders. You can clearly see them floating in space. that is pretty bad for a Valve project. Also some models don't meet with the walls and little piddly stuff like that. Still a great game.
