I’m a side sleeper as well. I’ve been wearing Abena Abri-Form M4’s lately, my normal travel diaper only, as my washer was down and I was out of clean cloth diapers. They don’t work that well unless I feel urination coming and roll on my stomach, or on my back. Even then if I turn back on my side too soon I’ll feel trickles running down my side. Fortunately I wear plastic pants even over disposables which gives me a while before I start to leak. Today I finally got my washer fixed and I’m back in my normal night diapers, a cloth gauze contour with a prefold for a soaker and a folded terry hand towel for a liner (it eases cleanup with my fecal IC). I use a folded terry bath towel for a soaker most of the time, in place of the prefold, and it absorbs so quickly that I don’t have any leakage even though I pee when on my side. It’s unfortunate that no disposable diaper company, that I know of, puts absorbent material on the wings for those of us that sleep on our sides. I wish you luck in dealing with this problem.
