Practically I agree but the "holyshit" factor can be fun. :)

Does Google Chrome kill all of your RAM?
It has a reputation for being a memory hog, yes.

Mine is an older system that was given to me years ago. I've upgraded everything but the motherboard as much as I could. It's not like most modern gaming systems but lets me play the few games I like with most settings on high.

Motherboard: ASUS A88XM-A (FM2+)
CPU: AMD A10-7890K (4.1GHz, 4.3GHz Turbo)
Video: EVGA Brand nVidia 1060
RAM: 12GB DDR3 1600MHz
250GB Crucial SSD

I just put in that CPU (APU). It's the fastest one made for my motherboard and supports 2133GHz RAM which I've thought about upgrading to but I was told I wouldn't really see a difference over the 1600MHz I have. Does anyone have an opinion on that? Just wondering.

I play only co-op games. Mostly Killing Floor 2 and more recently Deep Rock Galatic (which is a great new game anyone who likes co-op should look at should look at). If anyone want's to play (or just chat about anything) I'm TiggyCat on Steam and TiggyCat#3713 on Discord. Just a warning, I'm not very good but I do have some gaming friends that are very good, one amazingly good.

Do you have another hard drive in the computer? In my opinion a 250 GB hard drive isn't a lot these days.

@FluffyFluffers I'm really jealous of your servers.

I'd love to own server equipment as well as networking equipment. :p

Oh... I thought we were talking about gaming macines. 😁
Network 1Gb Switch router running DD-WRT
File Server
- i5 3.0 Ghz 2 cores 4 threads
- 8 GB RAM
- 20 TB RAID5 Mirrored
- 1 Gb Ethernet
- Windows Server 2012
- It is also my Domain Controller and CA

Window Server
I have 2 of these running strong since 2008
- 2 Quad Core Xeons 2.8 Ghz
- 16 GB RAM
- 10 TB disks
- twin homed 1 Gb ethernet
- Windows Server 2012 R2
- VMWare

The VMs are running mostly Windows 2012 R2 with SQL Server, SharePoint, Team Foundation Server and Git. I also use VMs to test new Windows beta versions.

Full Professional MSDN subscription helps but that's $1500 a year (tax deductable). 😎

I took my system to a LAN party a little while ago. I wanna upload a photo but its too large...also helped out a guy with his PC which had a pretty rough CPU fan. Ziptied a 92mm Delta to the heatsink for the guy and it wont warm up anymore, lol

Mine is nothing special just: Alienware Aurora R5 with Core i7 processor. It's able to play games at max settings, including Oculus Rift titles.
