I’ve been 24/7 for just over a year (bladder issues ) and have always poop my diaper as well but on my terms and I do try to hold some times just to keep that end working good .
Today though was totally different 😫 I was just getting out of bed when the urge started but not that GO NOW ! type so I climbed out my bed took 1 step and instantly filled my diaper before I had even made the bed room door 4 steps away , Though a good poop is satisfying this was a shock to the system as it was only about 15 secs from me standing up to filled diaper no pushing or straining or chance to hold

Once at a store I had diarrhea pushing to get out. I had to take baby steps to avoid an accident, without trying to make it obvious. After I paid, I managed to baby step across the parking lot to get into the car and drive home. That particular time, I managed to get home ok mainly because being seated in the car helped to quiet the urge.

But there have been other times since where I "lost it" in the driveway at home, or trying to open the back door of the house. Those were nightmares!

That is what I have been experiencing for the past year. Gastroenterologist and physical therapy hasn't helped.
Losing your pee is one thing, but losing your shit... takes U-IC seem like nothing.

Had another incident this afternoon , gurgling belly , squatted down to plug an power lead in as the socket was on the skirting , promptly filled my diaper
@CheshireCat losing bladder control don’t phase me. But bowel control does as it takes the “when and where “ choice control totally out of my hands thus losing my social discreetness of not pooping around other people

If it gets worse you’ll adapt and find the means to deal with it. When I first became dual ic I thought it would be an extremely limiting condition as far as going out in public was concerned, but I soon began developing the means to deal with my situation. With all the ic products available today, and the public’s more enlightened attitude towards ic, it’s not nearly as difficult to adapt to as it was in years past.

IMHO, I have been very luck to this point. Only had one event several years ago, which was likely due to food poisoning.
I am very active, out and about and I will be looking at those items that @Zeke referred.
Having a laptop bag with me has been standard for years, and they make a perfect diaper bag.

I think this could be the opposite of shy bladder/bowel. When you drop your pants and sit on the toilet it gives your brain "it's OK to poop now" signals. It's the same reason the urge to go No1 or No2 increases as you get closer to the toilet. Try pooping in the toilet between diaper changes even if you don't feel like you need to go. Also keep a journal of what you eat and what your poop is like and include the times. If that doesn't work talk to a doctor. You don't have to mention ABDL.

This happened to me at 5 AM today, my peeing not so bad anymore, bladder fixed. But the occasional diarrhea is awful, but the little for big diaper I was wearing kept the bed clean. Yay!

If you are taking bladder medications, check their list of side-effects and some can cause diarrhea.
Yay! Fully agree on the clean, dry bed thing.

Flomax was the worst for me, by far. But took a antibiotic for bladder infection, it. Was horrible but did cure the infection. I take a lot of drugs for heart failure, and they can cause the problem too.

The action of my bowels varies from possibly permitting using the toilet to messing my diaper in the bathroom. I usually double diaper thus helping with the containment of the pee and poop. When I cannot hold my pee or poop, I must do it around others. I am sorry but I cannot control nature. However, accomplishing pooping and cleaning it up without the public knowing is a time for expressing my triumph over nature.

When I first started suffering from IBS it was a nightmare. I'd suddenly get a pain and gurgling and new I had to find a loo then and there. One of the first times it happened I had eaten a large meal and was on a tube train coming home. I really tried to hold it in but it was useless and I soiled my underpants and jeans.
People must have known someone had done something but it was completely unavoidable. I'm largely over it now but still wear protection if I am going out to eat.

I have only had a few encounters with this, most of the time it has happened when being in a bent over position such as getting up or down or bending over to pick something up. The last time it unexpectedly happened was while I was laying in bed on my phone and before I knew it my pants were suddenly filled with a mushy lump and a pretty large one at that. Now if I'm having stomach issues I almost always go to bed padded.

Had a genuine accident this morning, got up and the doorbell went so I opened the door to our postman still in my nightime attire only to find I was getting desperate for a #2, of course the postman wanted a signature and had a few local knowledge questions as he is new and learning apparently, by the time I closed the door it was too late.
I find the feeling of needing to go now comes on very quickly indeed.

I learned this last week, that orange juice promotes my IBS-d. So yet another thing to strike off of my list. I was drinking orange juice in place of a coffee in the morning. But the coffee now seems a bit safer.

What you learned may be wrong. Caffeine is known to cause diarrhea. Orange juice is made from a citrus fruit that helps prevent diarrhea. Refer to webmd.com/ibs/guide/diet-solution-ibs-with-diarrhea.

You may have diverticulitis/diverticulosis like I have. Refer to niddk.nih.gov/health-information/digestive-diseases/diverticulosis-diverticulitis/eating-diet-nutrition.

I have diapered up 24/7 for nearly two years avoiding getting poop on my clothes or the floor usually. I would not dare go without being diapered whether in bed or moving around.
