If we should lose Betterdry, what are the best alternatives?
All plastic shell, no taping panels.
Comfydry, Abena #4, Unique Wellness, Northshore Supreme, Molicare, ID slip,
XPmedical Absorbancy A+ .
Of these, I am thinking Abena #4 perhaps. I have tried all the others.

Overseas, I see Formacare

Any ideas?

I emailed Thrust Vector, who manufactures Better Dry. They said they are in discussions with 2 US distributors and hoping to get deals done.

We know one is Northshore Care, as Adam has posted so here.

I'm assuming the other is Comfycare.....

I emailed Comfycare the other day and they said they have no idea if/when they will ever stock them once they run out of their current supply.

You'd be pretty limited to confidry and northshore. The other brands are good. but just not as good as these two.

Their refusal to allow North Shore to become a distributor would be a very poor business decision. I never had the chance to try any, because I don't know of a reliable supplier. So much for being in tune with the needs of the market.

Did I miss something? Why are we possibly losing BetterDry? When did they refuse NorthShore or indicate that they would?

I've been wondering the same thing. Betterdry is selling quite well in the US, in spite of not having a direct distributer here.

This is also the first I've heard about refusing northshore to pick them up too. Though that alone still doesn't mean much, only that they are in talks about taking on a dristributer here. A good sign in my book either way.

Nappies r us in the UK just for a fresh delivery in
So don't think they are going out of business. Probably the demand is very high.

Ok, that explains a little. Suppier problems don't indicate they are pulling out of our market though. Only that they are having difficulty getting new stocks in from their supplier.

I'm inclined to say every major diaper distributor has had this same ploblem at some point. Remember when ABU was starting out and couldn't fill orders for months. Or when confidry switched over to their new line and was unavailable for over six months. Or, well you get the point.

Yeah is sucks if we won't be able to get a new order anytime soon, but that still doesn't indicate anything about us loosing betterdry all together.

Abena are stopping production of their plastic-backed diapers on 15th of this month.

never heard of better dry info anyone?

The Abena M4 is one of the best diapers that I have tried, but the BetterDry is definitely above it.

The case for the Molicare brand, at least the kind I tried, is that I was a bit dissatisfied with them calling it a "maximum absorbency" diaper, when compared to my expectations and the regard I've heard it put up against, I expected something closer to Abena M4 than Tena Super.

There is this one brand, you may have seen them on Amazon, they're called "Fab Sense", I heard they are pretty great and I've been holding out on buying for simply having a good time to use plastic-backed briefs.

Betterdry (L) is my go-to favorite product. Hoping the ComfyCare.net people get this sorted out. Anyone have any experiences ordering them from Rearz in Canada, or elsewhere, to the United States? Not exactly psyched to have a large box show up with the customs form announcing their contents...

http://comfycare.net/ for BetterDry They are the all white version of Crinklz.

Well, let's certainly hope things get straightened out.

No refusal...We, at NorthShore, or working with BetterDry to see if it make sense for both of us. It will take a little time to evaluate. Thanks very much for your interest. We'll keep you posted when we have an update.

I have not seen anything concrete that Abena is stopping production of the plastic back M4, do we know for sure? I have been incontinent for years due to a service connected back injury, and the VA provides my diapers. If Abena is stopping production for sure, I am going to have to scramble to figure out a new solution. There have been rumors about this for years, but it has never come to pass, is there new info?

Abena "officially" stopped selling plastic-backed diapers a few years ago, but eventually agreed to do the occasional production run for a few specialist distributors. They disappeared from mainstream shops.

Recently, however, the Save Express site put up a message advising that Abena will no longer produce any plastic-backed diapers after tomorrow.

I can't see why they're doing this. They're the only diaper that fits me perfectly. :-(

Gary from XP was the champion of the plastic-backed X-Plus, he single-handedly convinced Abena to bring it back AFTER they discontinued it last time.

I imagine the new ownership of whatever XP had become isn't as interested.

My goodness. Betterdry is one of the only products I like better than yours. And living in Chicago, the thought of being able to get them with next-day shipping warms the cockles of my heart. I'm currently getting them flown in from Amsterdam from ABDL Factory, which seems awfully wasteful.

Please please please make it work!

It is. comfycare.net in Maryland has been a reliable supplier for the last year or so. Only just this week has the inventory run low. They still have Crinklz in all sizes if you don't mind the pattern. and even at the increased cost is surely cheaper than air lifting them from Amsterdam!

I'm in florida and ordered a full case of betterdry larges from them about two weeks ago (between hurricane harvey and irma). There were no delays in my receiving them, but this was just before they posted about their manufacturer delays.

However, they came in a bright blue and white cardboad box that had a picture of their diaper on it and said betterdry on the box as well. Thankfully, the box had a black plastic shrinkwrap on it, so it was still discreete shipping. Has you for a second though, didn't I.
