Internet Explorer has gotten better, but with that said, it still is relative crap, haha.
Chrome, in my opinion, is hands down the best. Terribly with privacy (Tor and Firefox are good for this though and can be used instead accordingly), but is the best at everything else.
Not all Microsoft stuff is crap though. Excel ain't bad, I like their hyper-V (but windows 8 is terribly, XP was the best, and then 7 after that). Their desktop and mobile Outlook is pretty nice and they have damn near revolutionized the video game industry with the xbox on both the software and hardware level.
But I love my Macbook and would use my PC to shield it from a bullet (the ridiculous price of my Mac has a small part to do with that).
