I am an LTL (long time lurker), mostly because I think everything here that needs to get covered, does get covered w/o me.
There are a few posts that I would have contributed to in the past, I’ll try to get back to those. I have some (maybe unique) perspectives on manufactured big brands and market, that may be of some use to others.
Hopefully, I can become a useful part of the discussions here (contribute).
I am in my mid 40’s. I have neurogenic bladder (reflex bladder, 24/7). I have had 4 urinary tract surgeries in my life, starting when I was about seven and a half years old. I’ve been in and out of “absorbent products” my entire life, but mostly in, over the last 25 years. I have worn pretty much every type of absorbent product out there.
I do not identify as a a little, but def have that side of me.
As you probably can figure out, my DL side is quite strong. I “depend” on my protection to live an otherwise “normal” life… I have a sense of humor…I do not “depend” on Depend, although I did use the brand for about 2 and a half years (around 2006) w/boosters (depend boost were actually pretty decent) and plastic pants to contain the regular leaks.
I still use a “diaper cover”, my favorites are Garywear and more recently NS Trifecta. I don’t know where they came up with that name, but for me it really is a “quadfecta”. My typical “workday” daytime/extended wear (8-12hrs) is Megamax with NS XL booster, a pair of Fruit of the Loom cotton briefs over, then the waterproof cover.
My non extended wear is an NS Supreme w/or WO a large NS booster. I’ve worn men’s cotton briefs and waterproof covers for so long that I have trouble wearing “just a diaper” for anything outside of the house. I think this is mainly due to the fact that it keeps my protection closer to my body and doesn’t sag, but secondarily to contain leaks that happen from time to time, even with my (very) extended wear setup.
Also, I’ve been told I “don’t have a butt” which is why I can get away with wearing these otherwise bulky products. So… if you ask me, “isn’t it obvious you’re wearing a diaper?” I’ll say, “not unless it’s very used.” If someone were looking, they’d def be able to tell. Esp if they “knew” what they were looking at. But #1 I don’t think people look at my butt that often, and #2 I don’t care what conclusions others come to, esp at work.

Again, this is a cool place with cool people, I wish I had joined and contributed sooner, but this may be a good time to start.

Thanks for the site and adding me!
WP stands for “Wet Pants” N stands for my age.
