Sure you didn't let that happen a little? Maybe just a teeny tiny bit? Either way though, I've had my share of accidents both honestly accidental and perhaps less accidental then accidents should probably be. They can be embarrassing, but of course people in our position they usually make us smile a little too. If it makes you happy to feel like you should wear diapers, maybe you should. Can't be too careful now can we?

Honestly most of the honest unexpected accidents I remember were as a kid, when they are most embarrassing.. in the middle of class. Oh my. These days if I have a honest accident it's usually in a far less embarrassing place at home.

My husband had an accident the other week. He had coffee and he didn't go to the bathroom before leaving because the line was too long and he left and thought he could hold it. He had to go bad all of a sudden and he got off the train at his stop and walked home and right when he got to our front of the house, he started to pee his pants and he went behind our bushes and took his penis out and finished peeing but most of it got in his pants. He doesn't even have a weak bladder, it just happened and it's rare. I can understand now why some people would piss in alleys or piss at the train stop under the cover or piss on the side of buildings. No one wants to wet their pants and if they think they can't hold it anymore, they will try and find a place to go.

omg that reminds me of a time that i was driving home from a night out with friends to continue the night at my apartment, and i had to pee SOOOO bad - normally i keep diapers in the car but this time i didnt. And I was literally about to pee myself, but the traffic was SOOO bad that it just wasnt moving... there were police everywhere and like construction or something; so i got out of the car (im the driver on top of that lol) and i put it in park and went to the other side (which was the edge of the highway) and just peed next to my car lol. I needed to go so bad that I didn't care who saw or if the cops came, i even had an argument prepared for them hahaha.

Don't worry, it happens to me a lot. Cerebral Palsy is funny that way. Yeah, bladder spasms suck, hard. You're not alone.

Frankly speaking I find this a rather jolly coincidence, wouldn't you agree my dear?

If Daddy and you can move on from this terrible situation with love I am sure it will all be okay.

If you have moderate CP, that definitely puts a different spin on it. I have creeping old age, so I need to respond to the bathroom when the urge hits. I have found however, that if I'm diapered, unintended wetting will occur. If I'm in my big boy underwear, I always make it to the bathroom. I think there is a psychological connection.

Well for me I am diapered 24/7 but there have been undiapered accidents in my house a lot. YOu know how babies often pee right after you take off their diaper? Well I do that all the time. Most of the time when I change I wait till right after I have peed. this cuts down on my accidents. But the other day I was using the potty for a #2 and as I stood up and pulled my pants on I just started peeing. Now mind you I had been on the potty for a good ten minutes and had not peed once so I figured I was not going to. So the floor and me got soaked. I cried big time with that one. Even though no one was home I was embarrassed.

I was having an adrenal crisis some time ago, a year maybe? And...yeah...just as the EMT's were wheeling me into the ER I completely involuntarily crapped myself. Trust me, I felt completely humiliated telling the nurse later, as I was so weak I couldn't get myself clean, let alone get dressed once my mother got new pants for me. Wow...Yeah...Accidents suck, but at least yours was urine. I crapped myself, and other people got to see.

Trust me about this: EMTs see a LOT worse than someone crapping their pants... it's not even worth mentioning. And so do nurses at a hospital... Life in that line of work would be nice and easy if the only problems are people having the occasional accident... happens - happens to more people than you'd care to know.

Why is it accidents always happen when you DONT have a diaper on? The other night I stopped after driving 5 hours to pee and the mcdonalds cefeteria was closed, with no gas station around... I peed behind their dumpsters :p It was either that or the car seat. I kept thinking that a diaper would be a nice alternative to a public urination ticket.

I have mild cerebral palsy should I be worried

Not really. Unless you think you're losing the skill set needed for toileting, there's nothing to worry about. Make sure you're healthy, and don't have an infection of the bladder, kidney, or urinary tract. Other than that, you're most likely fine. I know, the possibility of losing skills is scary, but it's most likely not that. You are understood, supported, and loved. :D

I think your body just understands that there are 2 acceptable potty spots now and it knows if your wearing a diaper, why hold it?

if you think your accident could be medical related, you should see a urologist to see what might be causing it

Living in an apartment is tricky for me sometimes- just one bathroom. When I get to my door it usually hits and I have to try really hard to hold it. Sometimes a little pee comes out, but I have not recently had a big accident. It's scary sometimes.

My urgency hits, and it is just like the "Key in the front door" syndrome, where you are just at the door and it is so bad it just starts, normally when the alarm bells start going off, so does the 2 minute timer, so when I am out, I wear, and when it happens, it is never on purpose. It is frustrating, almost like I have a hair-trigger bladder, just can't trust it anymore. Back injuries are such a joy... :frown:
