I’ve done that with cloth diapers and plastic pants. It’s quite relaxing for a while until the water starts to cool off. It’s interesting to see how long the plastic pants can hold liquid out instead of holding it in. With cloth diapers I don’t have to worry about SAP getting in the tub or down the drain which can lead to some difficult plumbing problems.
Be advised that this is a pretty dangerous activity. A burst diaper can easily happen when they are that wet. Adding salt to the bathwater will deactivate the SAP, but nothing will prevent the pulp from wreaking havoc on your plumbing.
