I often have a CD playing at low volume will I'm trying to fall asleep. When I was a little kid, I could hear entire symphonies in my head, often Haydn.

I compulsively him, whistle, beatbox, finger-drum, and when I can’t do any of that without being annoying, I think it. My wife and friends have several times wondered aloud about my seeming disinterest in music, and I’m like, “What do you mean? I’m never not filled with it!” Apparently it only counts if it comes from a stereo.

Anyway, yup! Hummed myself to sleep many times. I wake to the slighted unexpected noise, so I’ve slept with earplugs for years. A little hum is very big in your ears when they’re plugged, so I can manage this without waking my wife.

When my kids were little, I’d often sing They Might Be Giants songs to them at bedtime, which always made them a bit giggly and was probably counterproductive. Occasionally I’d hear about some “crazy” thing one of them had said at school, and I’d know right where it came from, heh.
