How many layers do you wear to bed?

I’ve been reading several forums eagerly to learn more. People have been very generous with sharing their experiences. I’ve followed up on several recommendations for improving my comfort and preventing leaks. As I got ready for bed tonight, I started to wonder if I’m doing this right.

I put barrier cream on my scrotum and inner thighs. I’m wearing a good quality, absorbent diaper with a booster pad, as I produce a LOT of urine overnight. On top of that I’m trying a pair of plastic pants that arrived today. (Unfortunately, I think they’re too big.) Finally, I’ve got a ProtecBrief over all of it. Am I wearing too many layers? Am I duplicating layers? Is there a simpler way? Thanks!

That's basically my setup most of the time, day or night, just without the barrier cream. I have a few PROTECBriefs, so I never have to go without them.

During the day, I typically wear a size medium diaper, but at night I go up to a size large. As a second layer, I wear a tighter, fitting pair of boxer briefs that keep the diapers close to my body and then a gary wear active brief diaper cover over that. That has been the best combination for me to not have leaks.

Normally don't use em, but like the bulk. Nightly normal is 2 cloth diapers, sometimes with a booster pad or 2. If I'm really in mood 3 layers.

I too make a lot of pee and use very thick diapers. Always double diapers. What I do is use a razor blade and cut a bunch of slits in the inner diaper, then put the inner diaper on the outer diaper and diaper up with Johnson’s baby bedtime lotion, then desitin all my bits and then a lot of powder. I use the Johnson’s baby bedtime power and lotion because they smell absolutely heavenly! I usually wear tykables puppers or overnites, sometimes a rearz and for my inner diaper I use a rearz inspire + in control but I’ve been eager to try the trest elite briefs.

2 layers of cloth diapers (bikini twist fold) pinned on plus one prefolded cloth baby diaper in the front; add a pair of plastic pants and a onesie and that will usually last all night without leaking.

For overnight I wear a cotton gauze or Birdseye contour or prefold, 1-3 cotton soakers (doublers), a folded terry bath towel as a soaker, and a folded terry hand towel as a liner to make fecal cleanup easier. Being as I’m a side sleeper when the 2 terry cloth towels are each unfolded in the front and rear, while remaining folded in between my legs, they form a ”V” t that catches urine and poop quite efficiently isolating the later from moving forward. The terry cloth absorbs rapidly, controlling flooding, and then wicks the moisture to the cotton soakers and then the diapers making the terry cloth ready for another wetting. All this is secured with 2 Snappi(s) and covered with wide crotch plastic pants from various manufacturers. This has served me well for my dual ic, but I think that this is the last time that I will detail this as what I’ve posted in the past is readily available using this website’s search feature.

That’s pretty much what I do. Overnight I wear medium size Tena Ultima active, with boxer briefs between the nappy and a pair of plastic pants. Leaks from the nappy is incredibly rare, but if any slight leaks should occur they are absorbed into the fabric of the underwear and contained by the plastic pants.

This combination works perfectly for me and my bed has remained perfectly dry no matter how wet I have been.

Three stretch pants holding in four microfibre cloths covered with half a disposable at the front for extra absorbancy covered with a complete disposable all then covered with a PUL pant tightly tucked in all around the edges followed by another PUL pant with a final Nappy cover in PUL that glides on the bedsheets meaning that my bed pad stays in place, no leaks, I hate leaks !
Even with all that lot I can still nearly reach capacity, so far no leaks this year.

If it is just diaper, then it is plastic backed diaper ( BetterDry, Tena Active Fit Maxi or Megamax)
Usually then I have under me disposable bed pad.

I wear a thick cotton diaper with a thick cotton booster 24/7 with a little baby powder.

As long as my rubber pants are on properly. My wife make sure they are around the leg openings and waist.

I use baby oil after my shower. Abena M4 or Betterdry diaper and plastic pants. For the past few months I wear a back zippered bodysuit instead of a nightgown.
