I see a lot of people with cool art for their avatars some with diapers and some without. I was curious how you did this? What program was used, was it hand drawn and scanned? Any suggestions?

I got a picture of Alvin from the internet, and a pacifier picture and a nursery themed background of Google images

And used the magic wand in paint.net which is freeware software and put it all together.

It doesn't have to be related to ABDL/BF/DF and any other label at all, some people on here have
none ABDL type pictures.

I'd say google is your friend, just nothing inappropriate like porn or something lol then bobs
your uncle

A )Google ab/dl art or something similar
B )Use a graphics editing program and make your own
C )Get someone to make you one, im sure if you look hard enough someone wouldn't mind doing a request for you.
D )Draw one yourself and scan it in

Those are the really the only ways of getting a ab/dl avatar.

The world is your oyster. I would say, as others have, just google 'ABDL' in the image search engine and browse around.

I commissioned Reva to craft mine via Fur Affinity, but if you're not a LF/BF, then going there probably won't provide you with the images you are looking for.

Well, I'm a furry so naturally my avatar is a picture of my fursona. I actually cycle through avatars quite a bit, but they are always pics of my 'sona. Since I can't draw anything more than stickfigures I usually pay for them. With real money. I spend way too much money on furry art, actually, especially considering how frugal I usually am >.>

I googled mine. I though it looked cool.

Sadly that avatar is used by many people, however they belong to a very good friend of mine who paid money to have it commissioned....

I use various graphic editing programs ranging from MicroSoft paint, Gimp, photo impact pro, GIF animator and others. Some programs are better at certain functions than others, and some have abilities that others don't. But when you have all these programs at your finger tips, you can cut & paste, mix and match all kinds of stuff and end up with a totally unique one of a kind piece of art. What I do is rummage across the internet and when I find something I like (be it a whole picture or only part of one) I download it, and alter it to fit my needs. I have a whole file of art tid-bits that I have compiled and can use.

But to have an avatar that is all your own, you probably need what alu suggested

I am the same way. I try my hardest to get free art off FA. Like my current avatar was a freebie and it is still better than anything I can draw.

I scanned a panel from the instructions on an Abena M-4 package.

Whoa. I thought that the instructions would have a better illustrated image than that... I mean, it doesn't look very professional, haha. I originally thought your avatar was a simple drawing.

I took a black and white photo of a baseball lying in the grass. I don't have a fursona as I'm not a furry, although I will admit they appear to have all the fun, perhaps I'm a bit fur currious.

I digress...I wanted something that was recognizable to all. A Baseball is the principle object of a game played by both children and adults, but other than that it has nothing to do with who I am, just good subject matter I guess. As a proficient photographer I figured black and white would lend more timeless depth. Most digital cameras have that function in the settings.

Well I guess what I'm getting at is that your Avatar doesn't have to be expensive or commisioned. Just something you like.

The "Images" search functions of Google and Bing are wonderful ways to find avatar material. After seeing my avatar on a bag of Pampers diapers (it's a Pampers logo), I was quickly able to find some nice, high-resolution images of it via Bing. I blended my favorite aspects of several versions together in Photoshop, cut the result down to size, and added a bevel to the edge.

One can definitely spend some time playing with GIF or JPEG settings to get something that looks ok while also meeting the stringent size requirements for avatars here on ADISC.

Deviant art also has some nice art from time to time. =D

I started out with just a normal mew from the pokemon movie and a friend linked me to a picture with a diaper on it so I happily traded it out.

I made my avatar with a Wacom tablet and Photoshop.

I basically started by drawing a rough outline of my avatar in Photoshop. I then created a new layer and used the Pen Tool to retrace my original draft with smooth lines. Once that was done, I filled the outlines with colour and added some shading as a finishing touch. That's it.

I'm not a professional artist by any means, but I feel like I'm getting better and better every time. Practice makes perfect, as they say.

avatars are just pictures that people get by any means. they might draw it, have other people draw it, it might be a picture, or even just something they downloaded off of google.

mine is of when i went snowboarding in Maine. took it whilst lying down on a break, thought it was a cool picture :)
