How come? (colours)

Ok, so everyone knows that newbies are blue, naughty people are orange, regulars+ are green, and staffies are purples... but what about pink?

Historical donors and claimed to be in pink. But people who are historical donors appear to just go with one of the other colours above. Is it a choice? Is there some way to change it? Why do the other status's take priority over this one?

Just curious :)

Also, in case no one has noticed, pink is my favourite colour! If there's anyway I can get that colour I will!

The way I see it is, you are the color of the highest "ranked" status you have.

Newbie < Regular < Historical Donor < VIP < Mod

Which translates to:

Blue < Green < Pink < Bold Green < Purple

So it doesn't matter if you're a Historical donor - more than 30 rep - mod. You're name will still be purple.

And if you're a Historical donor + VIP, your name will still be bold green.

At least, that's how I thought it worked.

Aw, bless!

But yeah historical donors just get the colour of their user rank, and a tagline with "historical donor".

The problems lies with... if you've got someone with green/bold green, who then donates to ADISC, they automatically get pink right? Historical donors get their user rank colour.

But, I personally prefer having green to pink :tongueout: Sorry, Talula.

The historical donor color has been removed. You no longer get a pink color for donating.

If historical doner > regular then why am I green and not pink?

We no longer use pink to mark donors, though I might bring this back if enough people request it.

In the meantime, I've removed pink from the list of colors on the forum homepage.

No, it only confused me. If (and I really oppose it coming in the first place) you do it at least make 2 groups, donor normal, and donor VIP.

It did. I requested to be changed back to bold green (this was in the days before being unbold purple) as pink did not suit me at all for a nick color.
