Hard to find diapers for 30 inch waist?

Is it just me, or is it hard to find adult diapers for a 30 inch waist?

Most medical brands, and even ABDL like ABU, has mediums start at 32" and smalls seems to end at 29" or 30". I tried a small from ABU once and tapes on one side ripped due to my waist being at the limit.

Am I just incredibly unlucky in searches, or is a 30" waist just cursed to never finding pamps?

I have the exact same problem being in between sizes and it is annoying have diapers that are too loose with the tabs practically on top of each other or so tight it cuts off circulation.

Have you tried the mediums? In my experience, a somewhat oversized diaper usually isn't a big deal. As long as you snug it into your crotch (the front might be a little higher than the back), you should be fine. Diapers on babies often rise well past the belly button. Think of it as "authentic."

I have tried mediums, and I do fit in them, but find the top tapes almost overlap but depends on diaper.

Maybe other thing is due to self diapering myself, so never had anyone else help me find a good fit either.

This. I have a 31" waist and the ABU Mediums fit fine, but the LittlePawz S/M is perfect.
If nothing else, try a sample. They're a revalation.

Best fitting diapers I ever found for my 29" waist was Attends Youth/XS briefs. They are no longer manufactured, I think. Because for a while there were none available, then any that were had been priced up by many times. Now there are none to be found. I wasn't happy with their absorbency, or color. But they had a wetness indicator and they fit me so well.

I've tried out AB/DL type diapers. They're great, but not an everyday thing for me, unlike the former.

I have had the same issuers until I found out about Mega Max size small !!

There's also Crinkls/BetterDry. Small fits 21 to 31 inches and medium fits 29 to 43 inches. BetterDry and Crinklz original print are the only ones available in small though.
