yay, no school or work for us Canadians today! Plus, it also marks the coming of summer (allthough it did snow yesterday, and it's only 5 degrees out right now).

That's the annoying about living in a student halls with a lot of international students: I get all the noise of the fireworks, but none of the holiday. :(

FIgures, that you need some foreign students to celebrate a person that lived in and ruled your own country for so long. Maybe you should petition parliament to join in on the fun and declare Victoria Day a holiday too ;)

Speaking of holidays...tomorrow's "Ascension Day", more commonly known as "Fathers Day". It should be renamed to "Drop Unconscious Drunk in a Roadside Ditch-Day" however, as the prime activity is to go out drinking with your male buddies all day long! :eek:
