So, I'm really bad at introductions. If you wish to learn more about me, I've included a pre-written about me in my profile.

My profile says I'm a male to female transsexual. I have not started hormones or the such, but I believe that I am a female in a male body. Transgender might be a better word, but the line is blurred.

I'm a DL, getting a larger interest in TB and AB. I haven't worn a diaper in months.

I enjoy photography, art, music (gothic industrial and such), video games, thinking about things, meeting new people (online, mostly) and such. I'm not a very social person. I don't have many friends or go to a normal high school or do normal teenager things, like sex or drugs or parties or whatever goes on, I don't know. I'm one of those people who may seem like a jerk, but I'm really not. I'd prefer that you get to know me before making judgments.

If you want to learn more about me, please feel free to ask.

First: that was actually a pretty good introduction, it said a fair bit about you in a short space. Sorry if I came off judgemental over your statement about not wanting us to make judgments.

First Second of all, if I may, I would like to speak to this:

I'm not a very social person. I don't have many friends or go to a normal high school or do normal teenager things, like sex or drugs or parties or whatever goes on, I don't know. I'm one of those people who may seem like a jerk, but I'm really not. I'd prefer that you get to know me before making judgments.

The online world is a quite different place to rl: you are a disembodied voice; all we have to go by is your messages, primarily in the form of text. Your appearance, smell, size, age, and so on are of no account, until and unless you reveal any such attribute. So as to seeming like a jerk, for instance, there is no evidence to support that conclusion. You do come off as defensive, but knowing you only on the strength of your one post, I pay this no mind. I am happy to let you know my impressions of you based on your initial post; and I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I am taking the time to do so since I gather you expect people to make snap judgements, and to have preconceptions about you, and you are not used to people to whom you are a blank slate: whose reactions to you, whose assessment of who you are is pretty much within your control.

As to seeming like a jerk, you don't. I am guessing you react to people out of synch with their expectations: they interpret the messages you transmit, through expression, body language, word choice, and so on, in ways that differ from your actual feelings or intent. This is a normal stance on a forum full of oddballs: for one thing, as a support site, by definition, we have many members who are in some way maladapted to functioning within the rl society in which they find themselves. You may be an atheist surrounded by a religious community through each of whom flows the full force of the Holy Spirit - or vice versa, being the only person touched by God, amid the hordes of the unwashed heathen. You may feel you harbor the spirit of some animal, or some other gender - or the spirit of a younger you coexisting with the present you, but vying for space, even dominance, within you. You may prefer the company of other disembodied voices - online people - to the physical - but ever so mundane - presence of so-called "regular" folks, at best tolerated by them, but doomed to be misunderstood by them, they who are unwilling and unable to comprehend, let alone accept why you follow your own nature, and choose the company of your preferred flavor of non-conformists. We are strangers in a strange land, and come together, here; we embrace our diversity, amid the customs and views that unite us.

Here it is normal to be different: even within a common realm of fetishistic attraction, we have every variety of sexual orientation: gays, straights, asexuals, bisexuals; we have all manner of gender orientation, from people quite at ease with their birth-gender, to those who were born into the "wrong" gender, and others who straddle the spectrum.

Adisc represents, to me, a social space in which we oddballs can meet, and enjoy being among those with whom we do fit in. What differentiates us from the others with whom we share (ostensibly) common ground is less easy to define, and I shall not attempt to define it in this post; suffice to say that this is a support site for those who are enriched by it and feel the urge to contribute to it; and you will determine, over time, if it suits your own needs. I suspect so.

You claim not to be a very social person; I suspect you might well mean that you find yourself disinclined either to socialize much with those you find yourself in the midst of, or that you lack the skills to interact with, and be accepted by, those with whom you would like to socialize with. I say so on the strength that you have joined a social space; and I welcome you here. We have many members who get on just fine in the regular world, and still enjoy being here; we have others who can not or choose not to adapt to being ADISC members; we have social codes that we voluntarily abide by; that choice is part of what binds us as a self-defined group.

We are big on getting to know one another, including our fetishistic interests, but going well beyond those; this is our common ground but hardly the most interesting thing about us; which is why we care so much about everything else that constitutes who a person is, from our taste in entertainment, to our hobbies, to our political debates. I believe the largest part of the support ADISC offers is the encouragement to accept ourselves for who we are; it is OK to enjoy "wearing" as a turn-on or for entirely other pleasurable feelings; it is OK to be a fur through an online persona or to incorporate furriness in one's rl lifestyle; it is OK to be socialist, capitalist, or whatever. It is OK to embrace complexity and paradox. */me huggles complexity and paradox, in that order.* As to judging you, we more or less judge a person by the content of their character: and judge we do (!) - but not on their views and opinions, but by a person's willingness to conform to ADISC's values: and these are described and codified in the sundry places Moo has made them explicit: essentially, the stickies at top of each of the forums.

So, yeah, I would love to get to know you; and I promise to make no judgement about you other than on the basis of what you say or reveal about yourself.

Having once again blown my "character diet" to smithereens (again) I'll quickly respond to your key points:

My profile says I'm a male to female transsexual. I have not started hormones or the such, but I believe that I am a female in a male body. Transgender might be a better word, but the line is blurred.

This is neither here nor there; it is a part of you, and speaking personally, I am not only quite ready to accept you as a female persona, but take this as a going assumption. My views on transexuals exist elsewhere on the forums; I will point them out upon request. Really, we take you as we find you, if you come across as female, most members will treat you as such.

I'm a DL, getting a larger interest in TB and AB. I haven't worn a diaper in months.

Many people here don't get to indulge as much as they would like, due to wives, parents, room mates, their fiancees or their finances; we don't indulge much in one-upmanship over who is "more of a fetishist" than the next guy.

I enjoy photography, art, music (gothic industrial and such), video games, thinking about things, meeting new people (online, mostly) and such.

Absolutely the most interesting part of your intro; please expand on these things. You said "thinking about things" and I fell into your trap; my lengthy reply is all your fault - I shall package up every "TL: DR" I get and ship them off to you. I have all the "TL: DR"'s I need, and a few more besides; be warned though, I shall send them COD.

I don't have many friends

Fixable: I would start by expanding on the blue things.

or go to a normal high school

Can't fix: sorry.
or do normal teenager things, like sex or drugs or parties or whatever goes on, I don't know.

Sex, drugs: can't help you there either; parties: we have IRC & Skype; help yourself; as to "whatever else goes on:" there are a few avenues to explore... A bunch of people are going to Anthrocon next year, though I am not sure if this counts among "normal teenager things." Perhaps it should.

If you want to learn more about me, please feel free to ask
.
Hmmm, I think I've given you a good head start; I am sure more questions will occur to me down the road; in fact I am nearly positive. But now it's your turn.

*applauds the long welcoming message* wow...that impressed me, I gotta say. ^_^

and yes, please do expound on "the blue things" as Raccoon put it, it's good to learn more about people ^_^

I hope you enjoy your time here.
and like Raccoon also said about "you not having many friends" being "fixable"

That was unexpected.

I'll talk more when I get home.

Alright, update as promised. I'll expand on the blue things as requested.

I have a Nikon D40, and I mostly do nature shots. If you would like to see my work, my deviantArt is freyjora.deviantart.com

I love art. I cannot draw to save my life, but I love looking at art and talking to artists. Hopefully, I'll be able to make art. I'm actually in two art-like classes right now. Art I, which is actual painting and sketching and such, and 3D Animation.

Music really influences my emotions. I listen to a lot of electronic music, but I also enjoy some new age and certain kinds of metal. Not a fan of the famous bands, but more of a fan of the stuff you've never heard of.

Video games? Right now, I'm just playing Oblivion and Chromehounds (the servers for it are closing! I am so angry!) on the 360. I'll be getting Phantom Brave: We Meet Again any day in the mail, and when I do, that'll be my new addiction.

I think I covered most of it. Is there anything else you'd like to know?

I apologize for the double post.

First of all, Oblivion is win. I just bought it last week, and I'm impressed.
And, secondly, Angelspit and Crystal Castles I've heard of.

Anywho, hello! I go by Scritcher, or Syd. This place is really nice, so I'm sure you'll get along here fine. ^^

Thank you.

I find infantilism fascinating. As somebody with a keener knowledge, I see how certain people are. Of course, there are those that make it a lifestyle 24/7, but there are many, like myself, that just do it on the side.

It reminds me of something my mom was telling me. She doesn't know about me. We were driving around town.

"You know, Luke, there are people who like to wear diapers and act like babies."

"What? That's weird."

"Yeah. But, thing is, you couldn't tell who they are. They could be your boss, the person sitting next to you, your classmate."

"Weird to think about it."

I was trying hard not to be awkward with that. ^^'

Surprisingly, yes. Quite a bit of EBM/Industrial/Aggrotech/"Harsher" Electronic music on that list... something which I was an avid fan of many years ago. A splash of metal too, I see as well.

Anyway, your name is Luke too? :detective3 :D

Are you SURE she doesn't know about you? It sounds to me like she was trying to say (gently) that she does know.

Great intro and profile page! Welcome to ADISC, Aercia. It is so refreshing to go to a profile page and actually get some background on another member not all clammed up: Private, Private, Private.

Like Racoon described: this is an accepting, support community. We have common bonds that connect us, although our specifics may be miles apart. Enjoy your time here. I'll see you around.

You're my hero for knowing about that kind of music.

Yes, I'm fairly sure she doesn't.. Although she did kind of catch me with a diaper. I was like 12. I was in my pajamas, she spanked me, she felt something. She gave me a really weird look and walked away. That was pretty much it.

I hope she doesn't...

I'm glad to not be boring. I usually am bland as...something that's bland, but hey, if I can be interesting, I try.

Oy, Luke! I got your message on my profile thingie-majig, so I thought I'd try to find your introduction and properly welcome you! I'm really awful at keeping up on the introductions.

It seems like you've got an immensely open mind (along with a kickass taste in music). I hope this place suits you -- no doubt, you seem to be the type who will fit right in and make this place his own!

Welcome aboard!
