Giving Tykables a try

ABU were my first ABDL diapers and I really really liked them especially peekabu. They’ve been out of stock of smaller sizes for a while now though and they kinda blew me off on Instagram when I asked if they had any idea when they’d be getting more in. “Sign up with your email to get notified!” Yeah ok but any idea when that will be? Silence. So, as I’m using the last diaper I have on hand right now, I can’t wait anymore and decided to give tykables a try. They seem very promising. Got some overnights, little rascals, little builders, and str8up coming.

Nice! I love my Tykables. I started abdl diapers very recently and started with some MegaMax samples, a few Rearz Critter Caboose samples, and then 10 Tykables Waddler and a Camelot sample. I went through those and now have a mixed case of Waddler, Overnight, Camelot and Str8up in Blue. Pretty excited about that. They aren't cheap, but they are definitely quality. The sizing is also kind of a good middle ground.

Tykables are very good, sturdy diapers. The tape positioning makes for a very good fit. I typically use XL, but can wear their large size too. Nice fit. The st8up and rascal are a NRU diaper they sell. I haven’t tried them. Curious to know if they’re good. I think the little builder is a daytime diaper, the overnight ones are fantastic. You won’t be disappointed!

Best of luck and I hope it works out and you love them! I switched my loyalties from Tykeables to ABU since I found everything I got from ABU held up better than my Overnights and they were much more comfy for me. However, every brand seems to have stocking issues to some degree, so it's really good to diversify so you have that flexibility!

Thanks for that feedback. I recently ordered a pack of ABU Little Kings for slightly over retail price because its so sold out everywhere and I just -HAD- to try them hehe. Just a tiny splurge, not a huge amount over retail. I look forward to giving them a try. :)

There is nothing in the news that would bring any comfort regarding assured availability and it would be wise to assure your 'on-hand' quantity is larger than normal as geo-politics could result in shipments being delayed. NOT saying it would happen as the ramification would be huge based on the billions of items that are of the part of the international transportation system.

As a 24/7, U-IC user, I have changed to having both MegaMax and cloth diapers as a means to off-set likely future shortages.

That makes sense. I just wear recreationally about 1 per week though. My last order of 40 diapers lasted over a year. I feel like having, say, more than 100 on hand would start to give me anxiety that they’re like taking over my life.

In my experience the NRU little rascals fit just like an ABU little paws

The Tykables camelots would be my favorite diaper if they were an all over or positional print, or it the dragons were wearing diapers

Just tried an Overnight and am blown away. Really nice diapers. I have a big water bottle I drink from and with a regular ABU I would be done after drinking 1 of it. Peekabu I could regularly drink 2 water bottles. This tykables Overnight, I filled and drank that bottle 3 times (slowly throughout the day) and there was still some capacity left in the top back. No leaks even sitting on it full and the Velcro tapes that I was skeptical about never let go either. Seriously amazing diaper. These might have to replace ABU as my go to. Only possible con is they’re a little wide between my legs. Peekabu is nice in that it holds a lot while being fairly slim.

I'm mostly an ABU fan (and partly because I live near them), but I've enjoyed what I've gotten from Tykables. The Unicorns and Puppers are my favorites. Performance-wise, I have zero complaints.

And of course Tykables rules on packaging, for what it's worth. If I had a nursery and could leave my bags of diapers sitting out, I'd much rather see a properly babied-out bag from Tykables than a simple clear bag from ABU. Perhaps ABU will get with that particular game at some point.

Big Bambino fan until about a year and a half ago when the tapes just wouldn't hold well on the Mediums.....switched to Tyke's "Builders" and they seem to work very well. Cammies are good too - but unless I'm alone or staying home -- because I cannot wear out in public. The waddle is fun for me but embarrassing for Mary, and probably those around me -- i.e. I don't need to showcase my ABDL side to the general public.
