Hi all. Hopefully going to be getting some goodnites soon, well drynites. Was wondering if the girls drynites would be a good option to go for, simply for the reason that it will look less like they are for me when buying in store (that would be because I'm male), and therefore help to make me a feel a bit less uncomfortable. Your thoughts? :) Thanks

If it makes it easier for you to buy them then go for it!

I can't say which are better, I've only ever used the girls.

Just get the boys one wear a hoodie if you won't want to be seen, Though the person at the till won't give one.

Hi Tom, lemme help you.

First time I purchased diapers were goodnites. I was really scared but I found a piece of courage and bought them.
when I was in front of them I was a bit confused because I didn't know which was better.

Suddently, my hand grabbed a pack of girls goodnites and I bought them.
Maybe the fact that they are for girls and you are a boy can help, but this is all in your mind.
Probably, My hand decided to grab them because, In my opinion, they are cutier than boys one, or simply because they were the nearest.

I hope you could find the courage to buy them.

How could he not want the dancers and butterflies? :p
That's what sold the girls version for me.

Anyway, the girls ones may be better in general. It has been suggested that the girls version is better for boys who are further through puberty, because of the positioning of the absorbent material. So ironically, the girls version is better for the more manly boys. :p

Well then, the girls version is for my manly self then , lol :p. Indeed, how could you not want the dancers and butterflies, lol. Well, pattern isnt really important to me, either pattern will do.

Just get the boys one wear a hoodie if you won't want to be seen, Though the person at the till won't give one.
Yeah, I'm sure they won't care in the slightest, but its just paranoia I guess, you're always thinknig what they could be thinking.

Thanks everyone for all your advice :)

Same with me, Charlie! I admit I'll rarely be purchasing diapers of any kind, but when I do, the cuteness of the brand is definitely factored in. Dancers and butterflies score an A+ in cuteness!

I'm no sissy... but I definately don't want race cars and BMX bikes on my diapers. I prefered them when they were plain white... but if I had to choose I'd say stick with the girls ones just b/c they are cuter.

I've bought both and the girl's are cuter and feel more babyish. The padding location is a little different, but seems to work o.k.

I suggest not thinking about it if you can...Just go in and act like it's normal...And get them...No one really cares what you are getting and who you are getting it for...If you try to hide it too much though, they could get suspicious...So just act natural and go in, get them, pay for it, and get out...Depending on how big/old you are, they probably won't even think they are for you no matter which brand you get

The girl's GoodNites worked better for me also. I thought they were more absorbant. Just make sure when you get to the shop that you get the right size. I've read stories online where DL's get to the shop and they are so scared that they get the wrong size and they are out the money and the diapers don't fit.

I got the girls ones, and I am a guy, I find that they are cuter on me, which is a huge plus.

Thanks again guys. Yeah, the girls ones do look cuter, and i do like cute stuff :) Its true, racecars and bmx bikes kinda spoil the cute factor.

If you're thinking about buying the girls version because you're worried about what the person at the checkout is going to think, well, they're most likely going to forget all about you two minutes after you walk out of the door so I wouldn't worry and just get whichever you prefer. If you think it will make things easier in your mind though and your still worried about what people will think (totally understandable for your first time, a great many people have been there) then go for the girls if it will ease your embarrassment a little – the first step is the hardest and it will get easier to be more confident about what you want the more times you do this.

Good luck either way.

Really? I thought there was no difference between the boys and the girls apart from the printing , sounds pretty 80s and 90s to me to place the padding at specific places!

I thought you were going to go to a place far away from your own home town to make sure you won't run into anybody you know. Then why would you give a rat's flip side about what some poorly trained underpayed cashier who you will never see again thinks of you?
They just want their shift to end and won't dare saying a word anyway.

How could he not want the dancers and butterflies? :p

*makes mental note to buy Charlie a package of girl goodnites to wear for the upcoming meet* :D
