Gallery uploads?

I was just browsing the site and I figured I would upload a couple of pictures. So, I follow the instructions and filled in all of the required fields(What's up with only being able to upload three images at a time?), and I clicked on 'submit'. It took me to preview the three images that I had uploaded and they weren't there. So, I tried uploading all three again, and only one appeared. Anybody know what's up?

the files are too big try compressing them to say, 500kb and it should work. i have had that problem many times before.
