I decided to throw my name into G**gle, for no apparent reason today...

...and I discovered I could view my blog without logging in. I tried this with the names of other members on ADISC, and I could do the same thing.

Is there a way to make blog entries private from search engines, such as G**gle? Or is this a problem which needs to be corrected?

Frankly, it's not a huge deal unless you know who you are looking for (and that person has blog entries), but I don't like to have that loophole existing. Blog entries may contain information which was not intended to be read by non-ADISC members.

This isn't a security issue. Anybody can set permissions for guests on their blog, though I'll agree the defaults are a little bit lax.

Thank you.

I did not see that tab last night--I must have skimmed over it.
