I got an e-mail today saying that Northshore will do free shipping to continental USA,,, didn't say for how long

I got one too, but if I'm not mistaken that is for orders of $99 or more. Cases don't cost that much so you would have to buy two or more or some additional product.

Been that way for a couple of months now, maybe @NorthShoreAdam can advise how long it will be around

Yes it is for over $99, sorry I left that out, I never think of that as i am always well over that limit when I place an order.
