For me fecal incontinence is much worse than urine incontinence.

I have been U-IC for near 5 decades and I full agree as in comparison F-IC or both is far worse than simple U-IC.
I can see that every aspect is mentally and physically far more demanding.
With U-IC, my biggest concerns is to simply not leaking urine.
Yet in the AB/DL world the IC world is something to envy, a life style goal.
Which type of IC are you and how long?

I have OAB and am IC often, wearing diapers pretty much all the time now. I also have occasional F-IC like this AM three diapers in trash! ICwas much worse when I had a bladder infection last year.

It definitely is, the actual messing is a humiliating experience and then the stench follows and it definitely is not a fun experience to have

With out a doubt. I think all you can do is to use a quality diaper, plastic pants and chlorophyll. Most of my accidents happen when I'm sleeping. But when they happen during the day it usually ends what I was doing. I rarely do a change without going home. I just can't get through a clean-up without
a good cleaning, shower and diaper change. I think the worst thing about wetting accidents might be an obvious leak. That's as bad enough but a load in my diaper simply sucks.

I've been dealing with radiation induced chronic colitis for years now, which was not fun, but completely manageable using a toilet. About a year ago things changed and it's now become IBS. Before I had diarrhea for my daily BM. Now I have uncontrolled bowels from shortly after I get up in the morning until noon. If I wear a disposable to bed I stay in it until the first big accident, then use cheap diapers until it settles down. If I wear cloth diapers to bed, I change into a cheap diaper as soon as I get up and change after any reasonable mess. I can easily go through a half dozen diapers and who knows how many wipes in 4 hours.

Dealing with U-IC is a science and easy. Dealing with F-IC due to IBS is very difficult. As I am older, I'm concerned that this may end up putting me in assisted living long before I would need it. Ugh

Having fecal incon flare ups is no fun, the acids can damage skin really fast, when I get them, I have to clean up asap.

It’s a problem of distorted envy and working out the reasons why they think a disability is what’s missing from their life.

I’m so sorry to the IC side of the house that I contributed to that in the past. I’ve been bitten by this bug before, and I learned it’s a premature psychological off-ramp, a way to jump to pseudo-acceptance without putting in the work. You don’t just decide to accept you like diapers and should therefore be 24/7 or develop incontinence, any more than Kanye West should just accept he’s a gay fish and dive into the ocean. (Sorry, South Park reference. Look up “fish sticks” for context.)

For the ABDL side, it’s not acceptance if you think being IC would justify diaper wearing. That’s an immature view of the situation. You need to get to the point as an ABDL person that you don’t have to justify diaper wearing to anyone because of a litany of reasons.

Thanks to all the IC, non-ABDL people who put up with us and engage with us. It’s what makes ADISC special to me. This is an important part of helping us come to terms with this thing in reality, understand our needs, and not get lost in the fantasy of it.

It's definitely not a fun thing to deal with while out, it's rare enough for me as long as I'm near bathrooms, but sometimes on the road after food it can add an annoying problem that is needing to be delt with.

I wholeheartedly agree fecal incontinence is a lot worse than urinary incontinence. I have been dealing with it (fecal) on and off (more on as of the previous month) since 2020. It is probably one of the most embarrassing things to have and detrimental to your overall mental health. not knowing what foods you eat setting it off, not being able to make it to a restroom when you’re out, where to change yourself if you need to be change, always needing to bring a diaper bag with you, the smell, the disposal, and of course skin irritation and rashes. I would not wish this on my worst enemy

That sounds a lot like me with the food. Certain foods such as highly fatty, acidic, and very sweet foods can really set me off. I know within 15-20 minutes of eating those, I have to find a restroom asap

I developed bowel incontinence much later in life after having urine for a long time.
