The name of the thread says it all. What is your favoritre album ever written by any artist/band/composer? Not to be confused with the question: "What is the BEST album ever written?" Which one can you listen to over and over and over and not get sick of?

I guess I'll try to get the ball rolling.

Great picks!

And Mandy, "A Day in the Life" is one of my favorite songs ever!
haha i think I've said this somewhere but the greatest thing to do is eat birthday cake and listen to The Beatles now that is happiness.

According to John Lennon, Happiness is a Warm Gun.

But yes, cake + Beatles = bliss

And Eddy, I remember my Dad buying me that album when it first came out. I can still remember the way he used to yell at me for playing Longview too loud for fear that my mother might hear the lyrics... though she bought me an Eminem album when he started getting popular. So, I guess you never know with some people.

I think I'd have to choose 52nd Street by Billy Joel. Pulling in a close second and third to that are Stabbing Westward's Darkest Days and Billy Idols Cyberpunk.

Kip, Dark Side... is a totally awesome and iconic album -- I need to listen to it more! ^ ^

So many albums I could choose... >_<

But ultimately I would have to pick Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts by French artist M83.

It's just a soulful, beautifully constructed sound-scape that encapsulates senses of nostalgia, peace, harmony and ambience, but conversing to that, the whole album is also vibrant, complex, invigorating and lively. It mixes subtle undertones with a flamboyant attitude to generate an album that'll never grow old, with tracks that'll last a lifetime.

I always give kudos to one particular track on the album, "Unrecorded". It's the most beautiful track my aural sense has ever had the pleasure of indulging in.

Who's Next - The Who
Powerslave - Iron Maiden
Permanent Waves - Rush
The Wall - Pink Floyd

...How could anyone put Black as one of the best albums of all time? It was the Beginning of the end for Metallica.

Thanks I try and learn most of it on my guitar. Buckethead is SOOO amazing on the guitar , but when other artists do albums with him and they change his style into awfull music.

Pantera is like intense fight music, it gets me pumped up for stuff.

Peter Frampton isnt the best , but how he uses the "Talk Box" is utterly amazing.

Jimi Hendrix inspired me to start playing the guitar because..... well because he is Jimi Hendrix.

Led Zepplin is just amazing in itself.
