Sorry, I know that some people think farting is funny, gross, pleasureable, or somewhere in between
But something I've found lately is that when I'm wearing a plastic backed diaper and I fart.
It smells really strong, like I've pooped, but I never poop in my diapers.
Have any of you experienced this? Stonger smelling farts, or having to check to see if you pooped a bit.
No farting fetish here, but sometimes I enjoy a good fart (my own) lol.

Thy belly is probably sad about anything thou'st eaten or because of stress.

In my case, when I fart while padded and the diaper is a fresh one, I can't even smell it. In fact, I love it, as I can fart at the street without nobody noticing it.

Although I make sure my farts aren't smelly and I feel alright before going ahead 🙄😁

Try keeping a Diary of the recent foods you've eaten when your farts are smelling really bad,

or in your case...a "Diary-Uh", lol.

Secondly, Farts are supposed to smell bad.....

And thirdenly, have you quit smoking recently?

...When I quit smoking I noticed some things smelling SIGNIFICANTLY worse such as farts, garbage, and public bathrooms.

Maybe it's because I've been eating a lot of candy lol.
And I actually smoke a bit more than I should, so I haven't quit anything recently. It's probably bad ventilation, in my room

Funny story. My husband was very leery, though supportive, about my decision to start wearing diapers overnight. He said, “I just don’t like the ‘diaper’ word even with ‘adult’ in front of it.” So I told him, “Let’s just call it a fart muffler then.” He laughed, and he’s lightened up much more about it.

Since covid mine smell like coffee. Not sure if coffee smells like poop though…

I image that’s not everyone’s experience with my toots…

Never had that occur but there are foods and other stuff that change the way what comes out of us smells be it a: fart, burp, sweat, or something else.

Medicines can also change up your natural flora and fauna of your digestive system, sometimes more permanently... And of course changes in diet also affect this.

As for smelling worse when diapered, guessing that you may be more hyper alert when your padded up? Some diapered folks, especially those that wear infrequently, are hyper aware of their diaper and related things because it's novel and possibly because of trying to hide it or embarrassment.

Diapers can buffer the gases released, allowing it to exit the diaper slower and over a longer period of time. This doesn't make your nose smell it less necessarily, it may actually prolong the smell instead of having it all start dissipating into the atmosphere immediately. All disposable diapers "breathe" to some extent as you move around, perfect air tight seals are reserved for tight fitting plastic pants and wetsuits...

A totally different idea, this puppy actually tends to suck in a bit of air (and expels it!) when strongly aroused, it's kinda funny and nothing intentional, butt it smells a bit too!

Admittedly totally speculating here...

When I’m wearing the cloth diapers and soakers with plastic pants that I usually wear I seldom catch a whiff of when there’s a deuce in the trunk. But with the Anena M-4s I wear on rare occasions, even with tight fitting plastic pants, the odor is apparent soon after the deposit. The same seems to be true with a gaseous exodus in a disposable as compared with a cloth diaper.

It seems to make sense that a cloth diaper would absorb smells differently than disposables! Wonder what happens to it differently... Have noticed a messy disposable diaper will often cause the bedding or clothes to aquire a long lasting smell, so anecdotally it appears fabric can retain the smells to some extent. Perhaps the fabric binds to some of the odorous compounds differently than a disposable diaper does. Haven't used / tried cloth diapering in forever, so no real experience with that.

Don't think that disposables make the smell worse... But it's possible, chemical reactions are all around us!

Well, everyone has them. Even the Galway Woman (my mom). It's funny when someone walks into her kitchen and feel an odor, she yells at the dog.
When I was a kid she call'd them as poo poo noises. As for mine, I don't really stink. Probably because I use daily internal deodorants. And I don't eat too much meat. Maybe a little pungency. When my gf stays here at my house, sometimes she wakes up and says she can feel the bottom of my diaper. She said I don't really smell like a dirty diaper (but she can feel it). She told me she can smell something but not exactly what. That's when I know chlorophyll is working.

No, I think that you’re right that disposables don’t make it worse, they just don’t absorb the odors like cloth does as you said. I don’t believe that either the fibers or SAP in disposables have the ability to contain smells as cotton does.

With plenty of baby powder farts smell quite fragrant. Sudcrem also helps dampen the true odour.

For myself I admit I enjoy the release of gas. I really don't smell (I use Nullo). It's funny when I've had a big BM accident and after a few minutes later I'll release some gas. It always feels the tickling bubble slowly rolling up through the stool to my privates. I hate to admit that I like that. But mostly it's a relief.
