Please answer truthfully.
In case you did not know the DS is Nintendo DualScreen, and the PSP is the Sony Play Station Portable both are gaming consoles.
In case you never seen this Q&A thing before, The Q stands for Question and the A stands for Answer.
so it looks like this:
Question:
Answer: this is where your answer goes.

I vote for a DS because I own one (only have one game so far and that Super Mario 64 DS) and I never really have a chance to play the PSP yet.

This thread probably would have been more relevant when the systems first came out...But I voted for DS...I have one, therefore it's better

I'll be nice and do the survey thing:

Q:What do you like about the DS?
A: Everything because I own it
Q: What do you not like about the DS?
A: Nothing because I own it
Q: What do you not like about the PSP?
A: Everything because I don't own it
Q: What do you like about the PSP?
A: Nothing because I don't own it
Q: Do you have both consoles?
A: No because I made the right decision with the DS
Q: Which console do you like better?
A: DS obviously, I don't buy crap
Q: Which console do you recommend?
A: If it's limited to the two mentioned, then DS, because it's better...But the question doesn't limit the consoles, so I'll say Atari 2600

Q:What do you like about the DS?
A: Big libary of fun games, the games are also very hard to damage..
Q: What do you not like about the DS?
A: No GBC or GB carts compatibility
Q: What do you not like about the PSP?
A:Its a jack of all trades, a master of none. The screen has glare even on the most cloudy of days outside and bad control layout which hinders any good games. Socom and MGS come to mind.
Q: What do you like about the PSP?
A:I can put text on it in JPEG, copy dvd's to the memory stick,
Q: Do you have both consoles?
A:Yes, I pretty much got both at launch dates.
Q: Which console do you like better?
A: DS, hands down.
Q: Which console do you recommend?
A:the DS hands down.. The PSP is very, very easy to break. Plus the games are not that great compared to the DS.

Oh also you can make a DS game storage case out of a Altoids gum tin. It holds up to 8 DS games. You can use Altoids sour tins for PSP games though I HIGHLY suggest a good carrying case for the PSP. If you put in in a unprotected pocket you may remove it and find a cracked LCD screen like I did before. Plus the PSP is so bulky it makes it odd to move/sit with it in your pants pocket.

I used to own a PSP but it got stolen, so I bought a DS and I pretty much like the games, better graphics etc. but my favorite game is Super Mario 64 DS

I voted for the DS because there's more that you can do for it. PSP is just a fancy gameboy.

Actually, the PSP is pretty hackable (from what my friends who have them say). They've got all sorts of emulators on it, and I've seen videos of people doing cool things to their PSP's like that. Also, I've used them to control my PS3. The DS is pretty fun though, I like some of the games for it better, and you can still play old gameboy and gameboy advance games on it.

I meant as far as innovation in actual games for the console. There are lots of fun things you can do with a PSP and it's definitely a well-made console, but there are more interesting types of games you can make with the DS (like the new Guitar Hero and Linerider games :smile1:)

I strongly prefer DS, even though its the only one I own. I'm also a very big sony hater, so... yea

Besides, the best game ever is for the DS.

Bleach: The Blade of Fate =3

Isn't this rather biased, since most people haven't had enough time with each system to make a fair analysis, and just opt for whatever they own?

I've never even touched a DS, so the last thing I'm gonna do is make judgements about a system I don't own. looks like fun, though.

As for my PSP, well... It's rather good, but if you can get custom firmware on it, It goes from just being "good", to absolutely amazing.

I can run MAME, CPS1 and 2 Arcade roms, SNES, Genesis, GBC and GBA roms as well. Then there's also the Playstation emulator that runs almost every single Psone games perfectly, since it was already there on the system, just hidden away. And that's not counting all the other great homebrew applications out there that allow me to have TV out on a non-progressive scan TV, to being able to use the IR sensor to turn it into a universal remote.

Still, there's one thing the DS will never have. Monster hunter! the only game with the most phallically huge swords in videogame history!!

RAWR!!!
