Does anyone else have a baby book?

So, I was back home and looking through some old photo albums when I dug out my old baby book that my parents had kept some small notes and pictures about what I was like as a baby.

When flicking through, a few things stood out.

On the 'Fears' page, potty training is mentioned and that I started when I was 2 and a half.

On the 'Tantrums' page, it mentions how, once I started crawling, I did not like having my nappy changed and I would have to be chased with the nappy and be caught!

On the 'Sleeping' page, it mentions how I was typically up 1-2 a night. And in a different pen, written years later, that I wasn't reliably sleeping through the night until I was 3! (My poor parents)!

Aside from being quite interesting, reading an account of myself from before I can remember is a funny way to see how formative experience may shape you becoming abdl. I wonder if having a bit of a fear of the potty made me subconsciouly begin to want to stay in nappies. And maybe the dislike of nappy changes stems to just liking the feeling of a warm, soggy nappy. And the sleeping notes too make me question whether I might have been in nappies at night up until three, though I really don't know for sure.

Does anyone esle have a book like this and are there any things in there which you would maybe link to being abdl later on in life?

I have one. Only diaper related thing is some photos of me wearing thick cloth diapers and "rubber pants". Nothing written down about potty training. I wish I had asked Mom before she died though.

I vaguely remember seeing my baby book in the very far past. Unfortunately, I have not seen it in many years and fear it has been lost.

I don't remember anything about what the book said.

I've had a baby book, though it only had baby pictures of me when I was a newborn all the way to when I was nearly a year old. The rest of my baby pictures are usually in a room upstairs in my house, where my parents had a pile of them.

My parents kept diaries monitoring my every development until I was about four years old, which was a fascinating read: I was in my thirties when I first saw these. They also kept photo albums. Moments which I do think contributed to my little likes are:
- Fascination with my feet, and resisting having shoes put on me. I remember fiercely resisting some red T-bars being buckled on my bare feet.
- Crawling into small spaces such as boxes, cupboards, pet crates.
- Being fed with a spoon.
- Being pushed along on a baby-sized wooden horse on wheels. Legend has it that I fell off this horse, who became known as "troublemaker", and ever since stood on a high shelf throughout my childhood.
- Photo of me walking and standing alone for the first time, wearing dungarees (overalls), and drinking from a sippy cup. Just for fun, I recreated this one as an adult, with a onesie and a water bottle.
- Putting a bag over my head (not a plastic one) because I was shy.
- Being strapped into a high chair for a haircut.
- Being looked after by a barefooted babysitter.
- That I was very demanding as soon as I could speak, saying things like "take my coat off".
- That I loved watching traffic lights.
- That I wouldn't co-operate with the nice ladies who tested my development, who would ask "what is in this picture?", or tell me to close my eyes and feel something. My mum used to despair over these tests. I really like these tests in my little scenes now.

Here are some other notes which don't mean anything to me because I don't remember them, but will make some of you smile:
- A photo captioned "Smile (?) as the nappy goes on".
- Repeatedly spitting a dummy out.
- Another captioned "emergency bath in the kitchen sink".
- "No hope for potty or loo, although he can hold pee for ages."
- "Gets on well with childminder who told him he was a 'silly boy' for still being in nappies (aged 3).
