I am a chiptunes artist and have been working with dot-matrix gameboys (1989) and LsDJ (which is a music tracking software for it) for about 6 months now. I make pop/dance/disco/hardcore electronica music and have slowly been gathering a fanbase in the D/FW metroplex. I was just wondering what ADISC thinks of me n.n here's the link to my site, i have a rough recording up of one of the only songs i have with vocals -> HANNAHMONTANATRON!!! on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads

And to explain the name, my little sister gave it to me. n.n; enjoy

I really like chiptunes, and there's some good chiptunes + vocals stuff out there as well. Try paniq.org or pornophonique.de. Jamendo (creative commons licensed music) seems to have quite a few artists on it, btw :)

I really have to try to make some myself someday, although happy hardcore is nice, too (and easier to make).

Chiptunes are awesome! :D
I guess having video games as my main form of entertainment until I was around 12 will instill an appreciation for such things X3

What kid of the 80/90's could resist chiptunes? My own stuff (that I don't really feel comfortable posting here) aren't chiptunes per say. However, elements of the sound are incorporated into most of it.

So far I'm mostly using a Reason refill (AES-001) that was ripped from the NES sound processor, and Nitrotracker on my DS. I'll probably keep exploring more "hardcore" stuff later on.

Anyway; some nice tunes there, man. I like it.

I really like chiptunes, but the only 8bit band I've really listened to is Anamanaguchi (and they are awesome!)

I've done stuff with midi before, and downloaded an 8bit tracker a while ago, but I've been too lazy to try and figure out how to do it, what with having to draw my own waveforms and all. i should probably make learning how to do it one of my summer goals :p

edit: solid tunes man. london is dead is... weird... but good. sometimes it sounds choppy but that could just be the myspace player/

Thanks a whole lot n.n I've been working hard and I actually have 2 more shows now since I posted this. They're still tba.

I'd really like to hear some of your stuff sometime!

I liked it. I have a very eclectic taste in music, but I've always had a dirty secret love for electronic derivatives.

One question. I don't know much about the chiptunes scene, and I was wondering what the rapidly scrolling *nix console on the projector was all about? I'm guessing just ambiance, but I could be wrong.

I'm going to go digging around in the basement for my gameboy now...
