Disappointed: Didn't get a birthday greeting from ADISC

I surprised that ADISC did not send me a birthday greeting on my birthday. I am a member of other forums that use that same software and I received greetings from the other forums.

It would seem that as an age and birthday concerned forum that a greeting could be sent out.

Am I out of line thinking this?

Secondly, I've received an automated happy birthday e-mail before so perhaps there's a problem with your e-mail or your profile or perhaps the system is broken.

Thirdly: The lack of an automated message for your birthday rates a rant? Really? Really? If it is broken, I sure hope it doesn't take more than half a second to fix. Anything more than that strikes me as a complete waste of effort.

I always find automated messages to be rather evil.

Every Christmas we get a Christmas card from the local pizza place, who deliver them to anybody who ordered a pizza from them that year.

"We would love to wish you a very merry Christmas!"

It's a good one, I think, although we're drifting (naughty naughty!). I don't like computers or automated systems faking that they give a damn about me. They do many things very well but that's not one I appreciate. Remind me that my teeth need cleaning if you must, but leave the birthday, anniversay, or holiday greetings to real people.

(2) Was your birthday yesterday, today, or some other date? If today, the email might not have gone out yet.
(3) Have you checked your bulk mail folder?
(4) Have you unchecked the "Receive Email From Administrators" box on the edit options page?

2. Other date. Few days ago.
3. Yup. Not there.
4. That's it! I read that checkbox as newsletters only. Not newsletters and email from admins.
