Curious: No diaper.com or diapers.com?

Is there someone that can help me understand why neither of these domains is being used to any purpose? Does anyone else think that is odd?

Both domain names are parked ... diaper.com being registered to the same entity since 1997, and diapers.com since 1995 .
Multiple IP addresses tied to those names, however all of them are 403 'ed.

diaper.com appears to be parked at linode.com and diapers.com appears to be parked at amazon.com

Diapers.com was a US baby diaper store for many years. I expect they finally succumbed to their Amazon wounds. No idea about diaper.com.
