So about a week ago now I received a parcel for a stuffed monkey 🙈 but I’ve held off opening it because I was told the sender has covid! It’s been about a week now I’ve left it unopened and I’m thinking that should be more than enough for the virus to die I didn’t want to open it and risk disinfecting as it could have potentially got into my system.

It’s a weird situation as I take covid very seriously do you think a week is well long enough for that pesky virus to be long dead?

Any virus without his victim can't survive more than +/- half hour. It's definitively dead.

According to Lloyds Pharmacy, a UK based pharmacy chain, they say Covid can survive on surfaces for up to 48 hours (link below). It’s very likely that after a week that your package isn’t infectious.
