Changing habbits

At present I usually try to change when I feel my nappy is reaching its capacity but not always as will be explained below. I seem to be settling into this kind of pattern.

If wearing at night 1 nappie is more than enough and will easily see me through 7 - 9 hours of wearing depending on how early I awaken.

If going 24/7 as I am at present for a few days I find that I will usually start with a clean nappie in the morning 7am - 10am and not need a change until between 2pm - 5pm.

I will then change and be fine up until bed time or leave them off until bedtime if my kids plan on cuddling up with me to watch a movie in the evening. They don't need to know of my choices in this.

I feel my nappies could sometimes go longer and take more of a wetting but I worry about how long I should keep the same one on after the initial wetting.

I am using Drylife slip super and they seem to very absorbant with no real leaks so far. Only started wearing at the end of December.

What are your changing habits? and how long after the initial accident do you wait before changing despite probably having more absorption potential in your nappy?

Thanks.

I wear until it cannot possibly hold anymore, I like the feeling of it completely full😊

I tend to change earlier than I need to so as to avoid leaks.

I usually wear at home so I sometimes wait until I start to leak before changing. However, most of the time I am wearing high-capacity diapers and will change before they leak.

If I’m at home I’ll wear until I’ve maxed the nappy out unless my GF decides otherwise and wants to change me at a certain time.

I mostly wear until I can feel the dampness around the leg cuffs of the diaper or pull-up that i am wearing , there may be a slight wet ring that never really shows .. I get the most out of each product that i use

It depends on the situation. Around the house I'll push it. Basically I just try to avoid wet pants most of the time, but I change early if I'm going to be in a situation where I can't change again for a while I make sure to dimit as a precaution. Or if it's getting uncomfortable.

Since I rarely get rashes. I usually don't change in the morning for a while.

I always wear a high capacity diaper with a booster or two to work. Because I'm a tradesman and usually working by myself I will always wear it till I get a leak. Generally I can make a whole shift in one diaper. But the problem is if it does leak because I generally flood it will really leak and run down the inside of my leg.

I like to enjoy my diapers as long as possible, so I'll hold off on changing until it's uncomfortably heavy or near leaking.

So i wear while at work, but only use it at the end of the day (when i am in the office). So my bedtime directly correlates to the wetness of my diaper. When i am wet to the point i don’t think it can hold more….. I will get ready for bedtime (change into a dry diaper)

I try to stay on a schedule for diaper changes especially since my wife is the one who usually changes me now. I only cloth diapers with added cloth inserts or boosters. I'm changed in the mornings, late afternoons and before we go to bed. That schedule works most of the time.

This 24/7 puppy tries to change when needed, because leaks are bad. IMHO, you can't have an accident if your diapered, UNLESS your diapers leak lol. Diapers are meant to be used, so it's no accident when you use it! With today's ridiculous capacity diapers, that often means I find out there was plenty of usable capacity left during the change.

There are other reasons to change besides being full that apply too... Fresh diaper before going out or going to bed, putting on a "workout diaper" before working out, ammonia building up in diaper, messy diaper, diaper falling apart (rare but can happen!), sex requiring diaper removal and afterwords fresh one, bathing...

Haven't tried scheduled diaper changes personally, not sure it would work any better with my varied life schedule!

I roughly schedule my changes. I change in the morning on waking or after breakfast, then around 1-2 pm, then around 5-7 pm, and then into my overnight diaper at whatever time I go to bed. If I am getting too soggy in between change times I just do it early and dial back the liquid intake a little for the next one.
