BetterDry equivalent with better odor control?

I love the BetterDry. I can get away incognito a lot of the time in life, it lasts all through the night, and when I get home from work after a long day and tape one on before unintentionally falling asleep on the couch, It'll last the 16 hour marathon without any big problems. What sucks, even after just 8 hours of wear is the smell. Something between sweet iced tea and burnt plastic, just awful. No amount of powder makes up for it. Yes, it's saturated completely by the end and on occasion leaking when really pushed, but wow, the smell doesn't make sense during those shorter periods. Nothing NortherShore puts out does the same for extended wear...

Is there something at this price point, capacity and durability that handles odor better, or anything I can do to cut down on the odor? I drink lots of water as is. In a size medium and male. Many diaps don't have room for the man parts, but BetterDry and a handful of other things do, so I'm married to them.

Thanks.

I share your high regard for BetterDry - the Day version is nearly undetectable, no matter what clothing I'm wearing - and the shape is 'right.' But I've got a keen sense of smell and I've never noticed an odor. I seldom wear one for more than a few hours without changing, so perhaps that's the reason.

I think the better argument is that there's something unique about your urine or body chemistry that copious amounts of water alone doesn't change. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has noticed the smell you describe after wearing a BetterDry for long periods of time.

I sure hope no one has noticed, it's a rather awful smell haha

I've been curious about the day version! I'm not a fan of changing often however, and have a bad habit of falling asleep forgetting to change into something that can handle my night needs. Not sure it'd work in a tight spot. Is this something you've got experience with?

Yea, the more hydrated you are, the less your urine will smell. Unless you love vitamin B, or eat asparagus.

The day version is far less substantial than the standard BetterDry, so I'm not sure I'd trust one for overnight. That's not to say that BetterDry Day isn't worthwhile; it is, but for situations that require discretion. I wouldn't wear one to bed, however.

Hi, I know about asparagus, but did not know about vitamin B. I drink a lot of fluids, so my diaper odor should not be a concern. Still I am extremely self concious of it. Thanks for the tip!

Well tbh, the asparagus won't make your urine smell as much as it turns it yellower. It really just dose the latter more.
